Loyalty Dance Team Audition and Predictions For America's Got Talent 7
Loyalty Dance Team has auditioned in St. Louis and made it to the Las Vegas audition round of America's Got Talent's 7th season. This group is from Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
This group seems to be tailor made to make one or two voting rounds and get eliminated. This kind of dancing act has never won and likely never will win as long as there are singers in the contest.
Loyalty has a fair degree of talent. Although their St. Louis audition was in the first episode of the season, they are the best dance team so far in the contest. But the problem with all of these acts is that they are essentially interchangeable. Although there are definitely differences in talent level, the groups with the best raw talent often don't even get the farthest on AGT. Instead, things like choreography often determine how far a dance crew goes.
In the end, this kind of act is just not unique enough to get the votes to win a $1 million contest like America's Got Talent. Singers almost always win because it is easier for them to emotionally connect with their actual performance. Dance teams usually connect with their backstory instead of the actual routine. That does not get you a win in national voting contests. Otherwise, acts such as Christina and Ali would be winning every year. The performance must move the voters, not just the backstory. And Loyalty Dance Team's performances, while talented, will not get enough people to pick up the phone and vote.
