Updated on February 3, 2018

Answering the Age Old Question of Who Really is The Fastest Man Alive

As the decades-old debate rages on as to who is faster, The Flash, Superman or Quicksilver, let's take a moment to look at the subject.

First things first, Quicksilver is off the list to start. Sorry you Marvel comic fans, he just can't keep up with either The Flash or Superman.

Now that small matter has been addressed, as well as tossing out The Roadrunner, next, we take a look at some of the interesting history between The Flash and Superman.

The Flash Wins Over Superman in a Photo Finish

Although it is true that Superman has on occasion beaten The Flash in the past, and they have had several "ties", when push comes to shove, The Flash wins out in a foot race.

However, to Superman's advantage, he can fly at similar speeds, and it is usually to his benefit to do that rather than travel by foot.

The later incarnations of The Flash have him with the ability to vibrate his atoms fast enough to actually "walk through walls", which is a skill that he shares with the Man of Steel.

Regardless of who you choose as the fastest superhero, one thing is for certain - The Flash gear is some of the coolest looking stuff around, and the red and yellow accents make anyone stand out in a crowd. That is if you stand still long enough to be seen...

Jay Garrick and Wally West Team Up

The Flash characters alter ego has bounced back and forth between Jay Garrick, Wally West, and Barry Allen throughout the years, with the Garrick and West versions appearing together in a passing of the torch of sorts from the golden age to the current version.

Barry Allen currently serves as the civilian Flash, although he and Wally West have traded the moniker back and forth from time to time in recent history.

Grant Gustin has taken on the role of Barry Allen in the new made for TV series The Flash, which is currently being aired The CW network.
