WOW 1996 The First Year of the WOW CD'S
First - With the WOW music it is actually based on the prior year's music. These hist were from the year 1995.
Second - Yes world I actually own this one. Not sure how I got my hands on it, but who am I to argue with great music.
There are a few reasons that I have enjoyed getting the WOW CD's.
1) We are looking at 30 songs. Now-a-days most CD's only have about 10 - 12 pieces of music. This one has at least twice that number.
2) Time to listen. Its nice to put in music and not have to worry about changing it for some time. I mean there is a three disk player attached to the radio so two of the three are from this alone. And I admit I have a five disk changer attached to one of my computers. That's two years of WOW and then set it on shuffle....
3) Variety, also looked at as various artists. That's right each song is by a different artist. The genre is the same but their styles are different. I am not sure about you in this case. But listening to music this way, helps me to the different artist and their styles. Pulling a sampler so to speak helps me to find new artist that I might like. In fact this one helped open me up to the Newsboys. And yes I actually have a couple of their other albums and have seen them in concert - twice.
There are thirty songs and only room for a few videos. So I picked my top five to share with you.
Disk 1
Track # 3 - Steven Curtis Chapman - Heaven in the Real World
Track # 10 - Margaret Becker - Deep Calling Deep
Disk 2
Track # 4 - Take 6 - Biggest Part of Me
Track # 10 - Newsboys - Shine
Track # 11 - Carman - Step Of Faith
Steven Curtis Chapman - Heaven in the Real World
Margaret Becker - Deep Calling deep
Take 6 - The Biggest Part of Me
Newsboys - Shine
Carman
One artist I was happy to find on this first WOW album was Carmen. He was my first Christian artist to see in concert. And to actually meet after that show. I don't think that the security was to happy with me though. I wished to share the news that three of my friends had accepted the Lord that day. And I would have been happy to have gotten thrown off stage. (Luckily I wasn't, just asked to step down.)
Carman - Step of Faith
Wow a few more years of WOW in the 90's.
For these albums I have chosen only one song per year. There are many songs that I have enjoyed. But I have chose only one from my top 5 list for you to enjoy from each of these year.
(And yes I also have the 1999 WOW CD and working on the others.)
