Epilepsy - Jessicas story - Part Two

Since I wrote the first hub about our daughters health, things have improved considerably.

The major change has been a gluten free diet, which I became aware of (finally) when I read about a veterinarian (yep, an animal doctor) who was treating Dogs with epilepsy by cutting out gluten, and seeing instant results.

That sounded bizarre, but I looked up the vet and found a whole lot of supportive comments about his concept, and found that it seemed to work for humans as well. So we tried it, and, nett result, the fits stopped straight away.

Now that should make headlines all over the world, after all it could stop millions of people having to take chemical drugs that cause harm whilst stopping the symptoms of a disease that white coat doctors do not understand or know how to cure.... but no, it will make no big splash in any journal, for it does nothing to bolster the profits of BigPharma or the flour industry to make this sort of information widespread knowledge.

They stay silent, and folk who have this problem have to blunder around looking for solutions to dietary problems they say do not exist.


Am I sounding bitter...... you bet I am......my daughter has suffered for five years, having at times violent fits that wreaked havoc on her body, lost schooling due to her inability to attend, been put back a year at school because she could not read like other kids, had it suggested that she may be educationally sub normal due to her 'problems'.

Yep, I'm angry with a medical system that refuses to investigate every possible cause of diseases they cannot understand, because those investigations may lead to natural cures that do not profit the drug barons.

I think cocaine dealers are more honest than our multinational drug companies!

At least when they kill people it's normally deliberate, and if it's by accident they admit that they really don't care, that they are only in it for the money.

The 'legitimate' drug barons pretend that they are in the business for the greater good.

Our family life has been greatly disturbed and we have had to sleep with one eye open in case our daughter started fitting or stopped breathing, for no other reason than the fact that our doctors emphatically deny that her condition could be in any way diet related.

Now before any doctor reading this starts to say that her 'cure' is simply her growing out of the epilepsy she was diagnosed with, let me say FORGET IT!.

I could prove that it is not that, that her condition is diet related by simply allowing her to eat gluten for no more than a day, if I wanted to subject her to the violent fits that would follow that 'experiment'.

I can state that with conviction because the ONLY problems we have experienced since stopping gluten have been becuase she has consumed gluten inadvertently. 

Twice when she was out with friends, and once when my wife added a sauce to her food without noticing that it contained MSG.

The result was that on each occasion she had multiple mini fits during the night of the gluten pollution, NOT like the ones she used to have when gluten was part of her diet, but small 10 -15 second body clenching fits as the gluten interfered with her gut and breathing.

As in the old days a shot of liquid magnesium stopped the problem fast, and she was able to sleep again in seconds once the fits had stopped.

We just had to stay awake to catch her starting to fit, it makes life simpler if you catch the fit before it grabs hold.


Update September 2012

Jessica is now well over two years fit free, and catching up for all the lost time she had when medical science almost turned her into a zombie.

Living (now) in SE Asia has made sourcing good clean organic fruits and vegetables easier, and her gluten free diet is obviously much easier to maintain in a country that basically uses rice rather than bread as a staple in food preparation.

And another update: June 2014 and we are back in Spain, living on a finca with 300 orange trees and growing our own food on soil that has been untended for ten years (now that IS organic!) and Jessica is still fit free and perfectly normal.

MonoSodiumGlutenate...mmmmmm

MSG is a 'wonderful' pollutant found in most processed food you eat.

The concept is that the food industry can produce processed food that is made of whatever they care to fabricate it from and then add flavour by pumping MSG into it, which tricks your taste buds into thinking you are eating real food.

Add to that the various colourings and preservatives to make if look good for the maximum shelf time they can, and you have a tasty killer in a neat and attractive package at a price you think represents good value.

Interestingly God created us to live 900 years, although we did such a great job of polluting things that at our best we had life expectancy down to 40 years.... before medical science started keeping us alive with 'science', which defers degeneration until later in life.

Whatever happened to buying fresh local produce, preparing it in your own kitchen and eating in moderation?

Take a look on the packet you think to buy, if it has additives that start with any number between E620 - E629, you are eating MSG or one of the derivative names they use to confuse the issue.

So we continue day by day to learn how to combat the modern world and it's effect on our child, we have cleaned out the mercury from her MMR jab, we have rid her body of parasites that affect 98% of the population, and we have changed her diet to allow that she will not eat chemical foods that kill, albeit slowly (for the food and drug industry want you as a captive consumer for as long as possible).

The food industry poisons us (if we let it) with chemical food, and the drug industry keeps us alive with chemical drugs.

Do you wonder why the FDA have such power?

They represent multinationals whose incomes must be protected at any cost, unfortunately the cost is in your health and your descendents health.

very informative. i will do my best to cut out gluten and MSG...but that will be very hard as where i live fresh fruits and veggies are more like a once a month treat, not the norm. and we are limited by what our local mom and pop store can get in. i am glad your daughter is doing so much better. i must say that thanks to our truck going unreliable on us, i have not been to see my dr in at least two years. that is at least two years of no epilepsy medication. i know i am having constant seizures in my head, the result of which can be seen in my rolling eyes. but GOD has kept me from having a full blown grand mal seizure in all this time. i have trouble sleeping and the epilepsy is worse when i do not get enough sleep...yet in spite of that, no big ones. Praise GOD.

Thanks Debbie (Lady G) for dropping by, and for endorsing what I wrote! - I've not been up to much lately, not written for a year now, got pulled up by God over the deceptions I have bought and taught over the years!

Now spending a season revaluing what Yeshua actually spoke about and deciphering what the church of man deceived us with, very different things.

I may write again, I will review some of what I have written prior and amend or delete those things which do not bring glory to God.

You have a very beautiful daughter.

My grandsons have gluten problems and the things that my daughter had to go through to find that out nearly made her pull her hair out. One of them is also allergic to dairy (as I am). No, it is not the things they give the cow nor is it lactose intolerance, but an allergic reaction to a protein that is naturally in the milk. Try telling a Doctor about that.

All doctors want these day is money and the people that are fueling them is like Health Insurance and BigPharms. It is all a racket. They do not really care about people. You are correct in your first hub about this that Doctors do not want us to do our own research....

Thanks for sharing your story. It give people hope that they also can find cures to misdiagnoses by those in white coats.

BTW, I liked your comment on my Question and wanted to come by and see what you have been up too.

Jessica is nearing two years fit free at this time, and has just celebrated her 10th birthday trouble free.

Cellfood helped for about a year, but on it's own did not solve the problem, just reduced the effects at the time.

As PART of a therapy it is good, but each sufferer needs a precise and sometimes complexed remedy to clear the problems out.

I am presuming that your son has not been shown to have scar tissue on his brain, which is a whole different matter, as it gives a credible reason for the attacks?

Jessica was scar free and therefore the doctors could offer no reason or cure for her attacks, only the chemical suppression offered by depakine.

Our breakthrough came from finding an MD who had moved from traditional medicine to alternative medicine as (he stated) "He wanted to cure people rather than just treat the symptoms".

His deep 'dark field' study on her blood samples showed that in blood terms the depakine had aged her to 60 years of age, i.e. her blood was that of a sixty year old woman.

We started by detoxing her for heavy metal poisoning, she had high levels of mercury in her blood and body, due not to mercury fillings, she had none, but to the mercury poisoning that we believe came from breast feeding, as her mother had mercury fillings and had worked in production of computer baseboards, which would have exposed her to heavy metal toxins.

Both of them (all of us actually) did a long term (3 month) heavy metal detox using Chlorella and a mixture of other vitaminerals designed to take the metals out of our bodies.

Cilantro (Fresh leaf of Coriander) is a tremendous herb that binds and carries mercury out of the body, and sprinkled on salads and in sandwiched fresh will work wonders. You can also get it in liquid form.

Our biggest allies in the fight to keep Jessica alive and fit free were liquid magnesium and liquid taurine, both of which we squirted into her mouth the moment she started fitting.

The effect was rapid and within 30 seconds the fitting stopped normally.

I highly recommend that you get some and keep it with you at all times.

I don't particularly recommend these people, they are just the first ones to come up in a search, I bought ours from my local heathfood shop, it was cheap and effective.

Magnesium is a great relaxant and also balances the nervous system, which seems to be a problem in epileptics.

The complaint is definitely diet related, if you have not moved your son to a gluten free diet, do it straight away, we have no need for gluten and it serves no useful purpose for us, from the time we stopped all gluten (and look out for MSG, which is in MOST food you buy in a supermarket that comes packaged) she stopped attack withing three weeks, i.e. as soon as her body was gluten free.

High protein diets also seemed to help, and to this day her favourite meal is roast lamb, high protein and high in animal fats, which are essential for the developing brain to work correctly.

Liquid taurine is another wonder and acts as a nuero transmitter soothing troubles nerves. There are as many or more nerve endings in the stomach as in the brain, and they directly 'communicate'. so that 'butterfly' feeling we get in the gut is related to the activity in the brain.

We could always tell when Jessica was attack prone because she had eating problems and felt 'weird' beforehand. We stopped countless attacks by applying taurine and magnesium at the first indications.

Great and inspiring. My son also got epilepsy, he is still using depakene. I also starting to use cellfood since end of July 2011. May I know how long your daughter take cellfood to address her epilepsy? and what is the dosage (drops per day)?

OK folks, now we have gone a full year without attacks, and Jessica is just fine, only another year to go before even the white coat doctors will accept that she is cured.

Pity they would never recognise their errors and take steps to save other children from suffering chemical poisoning when all that may be needed is to stop the existing chemical poisoning they get from processed food!

Thanks Michael, I'm glad that God has shown us the way, step by step, to fight this often misunderstood and/or misdiagnosed condition. Today has been a new moon, and those days were when we would often get attacks, and this one has slipped by without problem, and this when she has a tummy bug as well!

The sea is roaring into the beach outside my house, yet we have peace and calmness inside.

Good article with much truth. MSG is a painful experience for many. All you can eat food buffets pack it in their food allowing it to lay under the heat lamps for long periods of time. So if you eat there and come away with gut pain, it's not because you gorged like a pig, I hear many say "they didn't make any money from me", indicating for their $4.99 they ate $30.00 worth and now they have gut pains. So it may be some of both, but in the end I bet it is MSG, as when I used to go I ate a meal and was done but still had gut pains that doubled me over. They diagnosed me with Gallbladder inflammation and took it out as well as my appendix just in case. Guess what, eating at one of those places still produced the same exact problems. So dodging MSG is a main goal for me. It's easy as most of what I eat comes from natural sources do to my life style. None the less it's a wide spread problem with many results. I log my every meal and read on a web site called Sparkpeople.com it is a privately owned site by a guy who offers membership for free, he has some how come upon a fortune and decided to share it with this site. It has many members and a very expansive library of articles and personal stories on every thing you can think of. I ran a quick search and discovered one ladies story of gluten and her many health problems, physical and mental being effected. check it out, it is a long read, but if one is interested in the subject it may well be worth it. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=DOTSLADY it has proven to be a useful site for me in many ways. I hope some one garners needed information as I did from it. I used it for controlling foods I ate and logging them as well as exercises etc. and the end result is as a type 2 diabetic I no longer have the need for medication as it is a disease that for many could be done away with by walking and diet control.

John, I am happy to see you find a natural aid for Jessica! I am sure in my heart that God created complicated machines to carry our souls around and in his infinite wisdom He also made parts of nature that repairs and maintains us. If scientists looked to Gods creations they would find these cures, they probably have in many cases and are paid well by Big Pharma to keep a lid on it. Big Pharma doesn't want to cure any one they just want to maintain them at a level that keeps them alive and continue to sell expensive medications.

Even easier, do a 'gallstone flush' (Google up curezone 'gallstone flush')and set aside a day for it!

Pure olive oil, Epsom salts and grapefruit juice will solve the problem 'overnight'!

I actually started to wonder about the whole medical field when in late 2005 I was stricken by severe stomach pains. After two trips to the ER I was told that I would have to get my gallbladder removed.

However, I couldn't, and still cannot afford the money for the operation. I then discovered that these attacks would happen after I ate greasy food. I now avoid highly greasy foods, and foods which contain a lot of fat. Ever since doing that I haven't had a major attack.

Not that the doctors ever gave me that option. They wanted me to get the expensive operation.
