Mac 'N' Cheese Recipe Easy Enough For Kids to Make
Macaroni and Cheese
The world's famous comfort food. Besides chocolate, ice cream, cake icing, and a few other sweets, Mac and Cheese, is a pretty good comfort food.
You can open up a box of Kraft Mac & Cheese, cook up some Velveta Macaroni and Cheese, or make your own homemade macaroni and cheese.

The is a quick recipe that takes about 15 minutes of preparation time, so it works when you want a quick macaroni and cheese snack. Plus, it sure beats the microwaveable mac & cheese.
Ingredients and Utensils
6 ounces of American cheese slices
2 cups of corkscrew macaroni or elbow macaroni
1/2 cup of skim milk
Dash of pepper
- Cutting board
- Sharp knife
- Measuring cup
- Large saucepan
- Hot pads
- Stirring spoon
On the cutting board, cut the onion into very small pieces, that should equal to about 1/2 cup. Set aside.
Tear the cheese sliced into small bite- sized pieces. Set aside.
Cook the macaroni in the saucepan, following the normal directions of cooking noodles, except, you're going to add in the cut onions to the water so that they cook together. When the macaroni is fully cooked to your liking, turn off the burner and remove the saucepan from the heat.
Place the colander in the sink and carefully pour the macaroni into the colander in order to drain the water.
Return the warm macaroni/ onion mix to the saucepan, and using the stirring spoon, mix in the cheese bites. Stir in the milk, and pepper, as well.
Put the saucepan back on the burn on medium heat for about 4 to 5 minutes, and then remove the pan from the heat.
Serve and eat.
