Magisso Cake Server was designed by Finnish art and design student Maria Kivijärvi to answer the problem of slicing a piece of cake and moving it without it toppling over.
In 2010, the Magisso Cake Server won the Red Dot Design award in product design triumphing over 4200 submissions from 57 countries. The cake server was judged by the international jury to be functional and durable along with being innovative and high quality.
Previous winners of the Red Dot Award have included Apple, BMW and Nokia.

Cut a piece of cake, squeeze the handle to keep the cake inside the server, move the cake to a plate and let go.
Squeezing the handle holds the cake until it is released on the serving plate.
