This is the "new" face of the Republican Party?  The ones who are gonna "represent the American people"?

What's new about repeating the tactics of Gingrich, Army et al?

I'm more curious about how many leaders he will bow to on this trip.  It's like the man can't help himself......

His opponents got a lot more "up close and personal" with dictators like Saddam Hussein when it suited their interests.

Neal and Bob were very busy during the Reagan / Bush era.

So tired of the GOP. Have watched them for many, many years. A few things I admire about them. They are organized, don't care if they lie and then swear to it. Even when caught in lies, they still stick with the lie til the end. Eventually people believe it (death panels, Obama is secretly a Muslim plant pretending to be Christian, Obama wants to 'socialize' everything, on and on and on). They stick together and they speak as one. Democrats always disagree with each other, never stick together and always throw each other under the bus. As for the new Republican party, they are the same as the old Republican party. Just a new cast of characters. They still believe the same things.

They may, however, be eating each other soon. The Tea Party and the establishment GOP have issues with each other. I am getting my popcorn ready! It is going to be quite a show!

I have very little knowledge about or interest in American politics. But I found some of the comments positively distasteful - even offensive. I wanted to reply to one of them - it called India a terrorist country - but then I noticed 100s of such comments, and then I did not bother.

These comments just show an astounding level of hate and ignorance of what is happening outside US borders.

Has the level of debate stooped so low?

    Samples -

    >> How many people did Bush take in his trip to India? I doubt he took 2,000. Bush only stayed there 3 days. Obama staying for 10 days.

Note by SiddSingh - Obama is staying for 3 days in India.

    >> why do they need a trained monkey catcher to catch obama??? i dont get it lol

    >> India is a Commie Muslim country. An American president has no right to go there and spend our hard earned American tax dollars. And it is bad. He done already lost the election. The Republicans should have him impeached for this illegal act!!!

    >> Hindus love Obungo..Due to more Pork & Barrell..

    >> This illegal President has no right to travel to a Muslim Communist country for $200 million per day! He done lost the election! We Republicans said NO you can't do that but he done did that anyway. He wants to take our hard earned American tax dollars other there to that commie country while Americans don't have jobs cause he keeps raising taxes. Taxes are already to high! This trip will make our taxes go even higher. This is illegal and I hope the Congress and Republicans do something to get him.

    >> The only problem: The claims appear to be wrong.
Listening to What the Indians has to Say - Common.
They don't even know how to count their population.
200 Million can buy half of India.

On behalf of the reasonable population of America, my apologies. There is a small segment of Americans who are truly stupid, another small segment who are willingly stupid, and yet another which just tends to say stupid thing without really thinking.

They and these comments do not truly represent the general consensus of opinion. It's just the stupidity seems to make them the loudest.

I seem to remember Dan Rather was fired for going with a story about Bush without verifying the info - which turned out to be forged. The righties whooped it up about the scalp they took.

Now they take a false story and spread it across the airwaves and internet and as it turns out to be false - they will let it fade without apology or retraction - let alone any damage to FOX or anyone - except to the president because some folks will remember the lie as true forever.
