Before you can delete it, the hub must be published. Then open it, click on the delete icon on top of the hub. It will vanish from the servers in approximately 24 hours.

You do not need to publish it. Simply visit the page (in normal view mode, NOT in edit mode) and at the top of the hub it will say "delete" in the black bar.

Good to know, not that I need to do this yet but extra knowledge is always useful. Thanks WE and WL. Can I call you both that?

            Wrylilt,

I can see that happening to me, that is why I thought of WL, if you approve!

            and WL = WryLilt
            and WE = Website Examiner

Can you tell I like short handwriting :-)

I stand corrected, thanks. I never tried to delete an unpublished hub, so hadn't noticed that option on the interface.

          WE,

I am surprised, I thought you knew it all! :-) For me you do, as I have learned so much in these 3 weeks at HP.

I knew what I knew at the time that I knew it; at least I thought so.

A good idea would be to work on your idea in word or some other format and when you are sure about going ahead with it, you can transfer the content to a new Hub you create. Publishing and deleting content affects your hub score, if it matters to you. This works well for many of us here!

      Sofs,

I like this idea too, transferring to other hubs.

With all due respect, you are new to this, and may have hit a few buttons other than what was intended. It is highly unlikely that your account has been hacked or otherwise compromised. Sometimes, peculiar coincidences do occur. If you are concerned, you can change your account password by editing your profile.

I am from the old school and still learning all this new computer doings.  IN THE MEAN TIME THIS IS SO MUCH fun for me and I DO APPRECIATE ALL THE HELP  others will suggest.  I  am  almost 78yrs. this 21st. of Dec.  and very young in spirit and love Life.I may not know all this new mumbo.jumbo talk  and HIP HOP now but there is a lot to be said for the late forties and  so on and wow  what a time it was for me......
