Here's One For You, Maybe Not A Record, But...

Was checking out the contests, and am liking what I see, even managed to enter one at a point in the last few days. Really liking it here. And I see there are a lot of calls for at least one hub per day...well I am personally on day 7, yes, only a week and have 23 hubs. Would have been 24, but there was a misunderstanding on one of the rules...videos still require a few words of some kind! Okay, I got it. But here's the deal.

Subtracting my discounted video article I have 23 published articles. That's just over 3 per day. Why on earth, would a person not enjoy this enough to do 4? I find that if there is proper motivation, things like this become easier. I would like to e-mail, IM, or contact others interested in goading each other into such a feat. It's easy, I have written journalistic material for over 4 years and know 4 articles per day isn't hard.

Question is is this a challenge, contest, or personal quest. You don't have to stop goading and coaxing and motivating at four.

Some time ago we had a "100 Hubs in 30 Days" Challenge and it was a disaster - so we discourage people from aiming for multiple Hubs per day.  What tends to happen is that people sacrifice quality for quantity.

A good Hub is quality content, at least 400 words long and preferably twice that, all original content (i.e. not published anywhere else on the internet, even if you wrote it), and nicely illustrated with photos and/or videos.

The important thing to remember is that HubPages is not a blog.  You seem to be writing each Hub as if it's a blog post, when you should view each Hub more like an article in a magazine.  Your Hubs about Iran's nuclear aspirations, for instance, should be one big Hub rather than broken up into several parts.

If you're working at it full-time you could certainly create two or three a day, but it does take time to produce a good Hub.

To produce quality hubs, doing 3 in one day is a bit much, unless you have worked on all of them as unpublished a time before hand, then published 3 at once.

But, to simply write 3 hubs in one day, you are going to possibly sacrifice quality for quantity and that's not helpful to yourself or Hubpages.

I know Wrylilt has published about 7 hubs in one day or more, however, she was writing sales hubs, which after some sort of practice, can be done with the right focus.

But, please do not sacrifice quality for quantity. It hurts more than it helps. smile

From reviewing your hubs and I went through 4 of them. You are sacrificing quality for quantity.

I'm sorry. Any hubber would flag quite a few of your hubs. hmm

Have to go with Cagsil here - your hubs would be better if two or three were combined into one.  They seem to be around 300 words or less, and that is about minimum; much better, given the content you have, would be around 1000-2000 words.

I also wonder - the 3 I looked at all showed a duplicate google cache from blogspot.  Did you simply copy them over to HP and delete the blogspot writing?  That's certainly a little easier than writing that much new content so quickly....

I would say that it's easy to produce that many hubs when you're simply regurgitating what you've published elsewhere. It looks like the duplicate content fairies have visited your hubs and asked you to decide between where you first published the articles or here. smile

If I was into the copy/paste thing, I could produce scads of hubs per day as well. smile

Edited to add: That is not to say that your writing isn't good, btw. Just don't mislead people into thinking you're sitting at your desk sweating blood writing them anew.
