I'm just writing a hub about low fat ice cream and have received a warning stating that ads have been disabled. There is no sensitive or promotional content so I'm baffled as to what the reason can be.Can anybody advise as to what they think the problem may be?
I believe that weight-loss advice is considered suspect. The reason is the large volume of poor quality content in that area.
Hollie, I was looking at another hub of your on a similar subject and noticed that your hubs are very short ...you may run into problems because of that too. This has no connection with the ads disabled status.. but I thought I would let you know.
Website examiner, is it likely that once the hub is reviewed, providing that the content is useful, clearly written and suitable for publication, the ads will then be enabled? I do agree sofs that the last couple of hubs have been less than 450 words but they were quick and easy recipes. To add additional wordage would have just created lots of filler content. I'm also wondering if perhaps including alcohol in the recipe may be considered a breech of TOS?
The AdSense TOS speak about sale of alcohol. However, since ads disabling may be the result of automated filters, the hub could have been "misunderstood." Definitely worthwhile to contact the team@hubpages.com.

Now don't get me wrong, I totally love writing on Hubpages and being a part of the Hubbing community, but I have lost a little heart recently when one hub of mine on "How to Improve Male Fertility" had the ads disabled based on automatic filters. This problem I reported in order to have...

I have a hub about homosexuality in monarch butterflies with ads for books on Amazon about homosexuality in animals, however, ads have been disabled and in the warning why details it says: "Because this Hub was identified manually, and not through our automatic filter, this status will not...

Initially perplexed and frustrated, I have quickly decided Hubpages have brilliant web content protection. They blocked a hub I started to write from generating advertising revenue. Why is this good? Well, as genuine as the hub was, relating to Christmas and presents and my teenage daughter, it was...

Are we not supposed to be notified by e-mail when we get Ads disabled on HP, or do we just happen across them as I keep doing?I had three disabled this morning and not a word from HP as to why. And it's a moderator and not a filter. It'd help a whole lot if they take the time to disable ads, they...

What do you do when ads are disabled on your hubs?I have published a hub on Exclusive Title. It gets 10 views per day in average. However, ads are disabled on the hub. I wrote to HubPages to reinstate ads, however, it rejected saying the hub will remain featured but cannot display ads because of...

I have two hubs that have had ads disabled by a moderator (not automatic filter) due to unsuitable content. Does this mean there was a complaint made by a fellow hubber or do moderators randomly check hubs for content? I know the problem is one image on each hub (though I have seen a lot worse on...
