buying a fridge on line

   has anyone bought a fridge on line.
   if so,are there any pitfalls i should
   be worried about.

   Make sure and research them...there is one particular brand that has several web pages full of complaints about how they are unable to hold the cold all of the sudden...while they are still new or fairly new. Mine lost its' cold after 5 years due to the evaporator core going bad. Had to buy another one after 5 short years...and by the looks of the complaints and questions on the product. I am one of many. And the company told me directly there was nothing they could do. That company is Frigidaire.

   You'd also have to consider the enormous cost of shipping such a beast (even though they're a bit lighter than in years past). 
   
   Unless you live in rural community, you're likely to get just as good a deal at a local appliance outlet, especially when you factor in the shipping (local is usually free).
