3 Days ago I had a 100 Hubber Score...

   I got ambitious and followed too many people and now my Hubber Score drops a point every hour! All of the people I am following are active, but I had not read all of the hubs- I planned to, and did, comment, vote up and down, vote on quality of food recipes, did hub praise, and posted fan-mail as these followers showed up in my feed. If I found promotional material I flagged it, if it was too promotional or spammy I also unfollowed the Hubber- I thought it would be an easier way to sift through material, and an easier way to bring attention to my hubs, and it was-
   
   So the point is I knew not what I did until it was too late- any ideas on damage control?

      I have never been the one to achieve the 100 hubber score, lol. However, as long as you stay above 75 you will be doing just fine. I would not worry as the score fluctuates quite often. When you follow fellow hubbers, if their score is low, then I have been told that will pull your score down. Like if you do a half dozen 46's for an example, that could pull your score down. Not sure about the truth to that however.

   I don't really have any ideas but as an ex 100 I'll tell you what I think.
   
   I prefer not being 100. It is a green light to copiers, gains you no traffic, makes you no money.
   
   It is great to achieve when you arrive, and well done to you for that, but it really means nothing in the wider picture.
   
   It might get the odd extra hit from other Hubbers, it might get you the odd follower - it makes no money.
   
   In my opinion, unless the social club side of HP is more important to you than money (did I already mention that?) - I would forget about it. Forget about the follow me, follow you game and concentrate on your page quality, traffic stats and all those things that might make a few dollars.
   
   I estimate my 'followers' make me precisely nothing.  Maybe a few cents each time I publish something.
   
   TRAFFIC and QUALITY.  That's the game.

      Thanks, I am just concerned that the score won't stop dropping. I don't people turned off of my work by a low score- you know? But I appreciate it.

         Don't sweat it.  I kept a 100 on and off for over two years and still have no idea how they work it.  She go up, she go down.

   Why care so much about scores?  I could stand on my head and not get past a score of 94.  But between 88 and 94, I'm still making money on a daily basis.  When you are doing everything for this site but the actual Hub writing, you can forget about making the online pennies.  Think of it this way:  a 100 won't open any doors for you when it comes to writing jobs outside of HubPages.  Editors aren't impressed if you mentioned that you've maintained a score of 100.  But as a Hubber, it could feed your ego or soothe your need to be competitive.  Whatever.
