If you're writing a "List" hub, like they "The 50 Best ________" or something to that extent that's really long, is it better (financially speaking) to put it all in one very long hub or split it into separate episodic hubs? Like one could be 41-50, the next 31-40, etc.
What is recommended?
If it was me unless it was going to go over 1500 words I would keep it in one. My reasoning behind that is google searchers are usually looking to get all there info in one spot. I know if I have to click through a lot of pages to get what I want, I find it easier just to back out to google and click something else. If it was a different type of hub then maybe I would split it into multiple parts.
How many words? If it works out at less than 1,500 words, keep it in one Hub. Google doesn't like repetitive titles, so you'd run into trouble trying to title separate Hubs.
One is better, but hopefully you won't have to explain each item on the list much.
I have seen other sites that make you click from one to another, so that you will get more page views, but the way HubPages is set up, each page is individually searchable, and while you can set it up so people see them in order, you really can't guarantee that they will start on page one. Plus, they may get irritated, like I do, when the information is not all in one page. I think it is greedy, and avoid sites that I know do that.
Hmm. These are some good points. Yeah I won't explain each item too much. Maybe a short paragraph plus a couple interesting facts for each but that's it.

I am writing about my visit to the Louvre. I'm trying to give an educational idea of what it was like and yet not detail every single thing I saw. should I make a part 1 and part 11? I am thinking maybe the intro, antiquities sections for one, and then a separate hub to cover paintings and...

Google says no nudity. These hubs violating policy. The so called authors of these hubs are very clever. They become fan of any one and in return they get fans. Thus they have maximum number of fans. As these galeries need no intellectual, they publish number of hubs. This way they get highest...

A form of this question came up in a recent thread. I responded that I can and have written more than 10 hubs or articles in one day. I just finished a hub, and it took me 19 minutes to write it. It's 800 words long. Many of the articles I write for publishers are only 500 words long. So, you see,...

In their teachings on writing stellar hubs, the HubPages staff has sometimes said that an ideal hub is 1,500 words long and has sometimes said that an ideal hub is 1,150 words long. Numerous hubs by hubbers on hubbing have recommended that a hub should be at least circa 400 to 500 words long, at...

I read the above quote on another thread and was wondering if anyone here can confirm that this is the case. Do you have long hubs, over 800 words? Are they doing well as far as Google traffic goes?Should I try to keep my hubs under 800 words?
