How long does it take for a hubscore to move from 0?
Would there be some other reason why my score is still at 0?
thanks...
Welcome to HP. It is always great to find other Aussies here!
I read several of your Hubs, and you clearly know your chosen subject. Why you have a Hubber score of 0 is beyond me.
That said, do not make the same mistake so many other newbies make and get obsessed with your Hubber score. Nobody here knows how or even if they work. There is a growing call for them to be scrapped all together, as they mean nada in the greater scheme of things.
It could be a glitch, but there are a few reasons it can zero-out. It happens to people who have 'followed' scores or hundreds of people in a very short period of time, and it is evident that the follower has not read any of the hubs of the persons they are following. It can also happen if there there is a lot of self promotion by spamming and posting links.
I don't know if any of these apply to you, but you might want to check out the TOS and the Learning Center. If you feel that you are abiding by all the rules email -- team@hubpages.com -- and ask for a reason or a review of your activity. Good luck.
Your hubs seem fine, but your bio isn't a bio; it's an ad for your locksmith services in Brisbane. I'll bet that's got something to do with it. Also, it's not that your score is 'still' at zero. Scores never start at 0, but around 50 and either climb or fall from there depending on quality and some mysterious factors as mentioned. So your score has been dropped to zero for some reason, and I'm sure your bio has something to do with it
Also your name is a bit suspect. There's nothing actually wrong with it, but it's the kind of name used by people promoting services more than providing interesting and informative content. It may have set off an alarm somewhere. It's unfortunate as your hubs (at least the couple I read) are both interesting and informative.
You can't change your name, but you should definitely rewrite your bio. How can what you offer in Brisbane be of any use or interest to someone living in Hong Kong, London, New York or even Sydney? You can't help someone locked out of their apartment in those places. (Your hubs can help them, but I'm talking about your bio). Readers who go to your bio page will go there to learn a little about you, but all they'll get is an offer to fix their lock if they ever happen to be in Brisbane.
Your right the bio was a bit too much.. I changed the bio a bit.
Also deleted a couple of links from some hubs.
See what happens i guess ?
Thanks for the reply's.
I have 6 hubs now and I have a couple of links, which I do not see are against the TOS and I have a couple of Amazon thingies in each hub. Should I not put the Amazon adds in?
I am not all that worried about it, just trying to work out how it all works. I just have not seen it move from 0.
Welcome to HubPages, Bbls! I just wanted to chime in and tell you that I agree with Rochelle-email the team and ask for a review. I went to your profile and a few of your hubs-all seems in good order. I would hazard a guess that the algorithm here has not had time to increase your score. Author score-the bane of our existences...
Take good care.
Hey Brisbanelocksmith!
First, welcome to HubPages!
Second: PLEASE IGNORE THE HUBSCORE FOR A WHILE!
I'm so sorry it has caused some confusion- it tends to fluctuate a lot, and is especially volatile for new users. As you spend more time on the site and publish Hubs, it will move up.
Will it randomly move down at times as well? Yes. Do you have direct, immediate, sweeping control over it? Nope. So again, it's best to ignore it.
The team can do nothing to manually change it, so just let things sit and over time you should be just fine.
More on the HubScore and what goes into calculating it can be found here:

Hope you're a bit more high and dry in Brizzy though... Good Luck with that low weather score!!
Take care and welcome to this HP world!

I am sort of disappointed. I try to be active in the site as much as possible, comment on other people's hubs, help out in the forums, add new hubs once every two weeks, participate in the question and answer and my hubscore is slowly decreasing. Any advice from expert Hubbers on how to...

Can someone tell me what is the 'hub score' please? It seems to have no relevance to the number of page views on my hubs. Thanks!yellowbutterfly

I'd like to suggest we get rid of Hubber Score - and perhaps even Hub Scores. They:- are constantly misunderstood;- cause a lot of upset and grief in the forums; and- encourage newbie Hubbers to direct their efforts in entirely wrong directionsFor instance, I've known newbie Hubbers stop...

A month ago I announced some updates to HubScore: raw traffic is deemphasized, reader satisfaction is emphasized, and overall, the scores are a more accurate reflection of the quality of Hubs than they used to be. Today, I'd like to talk about the subsequent update to Hubber Score — the score...

I just joined, so maybe that's why, but man, it feels unfair. My names Neil by the way. So, I joined the other day and I have worked really hard so far. I have posted 5 Hubpages. 4 of the 5 are featured! Go me! The fifth is still pending, but I'm expecting to get a feature, because I put a lot of...
