This week’s Rising Star nominees can be found on the following Topic Pages:

    1. Politics and Social Issues
    2. Gender and Relationships
    3. Pets and Animals

Be sure to stop by each one and vote for your favorites! It’s a great way to support promising new talent in our community.

We also recommend considering the following new Topic Pages when composing Hubs this week:

    1. Chinese Tattoos
    2. Under 10-Minute Recipes
    3. The Elder Scrolls Games
    4. Cocktail Parties
    5. Chocolate Fudge

Because the pages contain relatively few Hubs, any Hub published within these categories (be sure, of course, that it is truly related) is more likely to be prominently featured. Under 10-Minute Recipes, in particular has a lot of potential. A Topic Page will be created for it when it reaches the minimum threshold of 5 featured Hubs, so all featured Hubs are sure to be visible on its first page.

Should you be interested in writing on one of these new Topics with a bunch of friends, we recommend making a Hub Challenge of it! For more ideas on doing so, stop by our Learning Center entry on Hub Challenges.

Cue a definitive guide to chinese tattoos entitled "'Donkey', 'silly foreign man', 'spelling mistake', and 'I'm so incredibly stupid' - What does your Chinese tattoo REALLY mean?"

Oh yes, and 'pity the fool, this dude really thinks that this is his name in Chinese'

Sounds like you could write a pretty awesome guide to Chinese tattoo bloopers (and maybe some tips on avoiding them?). big_smile

          it's very tempting smile

Although, frankly I have no idea what anything means in Chinese. I use to think the NY logo with the letters merged was a Chinese symbol, a better comparsion to the potential hubs subject could not be drawn.

I'm writing a hub about getting a tattoo of a chocolate fudge recipe written in Chinese characters.  Which category should I place it in?

Haha, your guess is as good as mine!

Maybe you should write one about the political issues of getting a tattoo of a chocolate fudge recipe written in Chinese letters. Now that would be a winning hub right there.

Let me think about this.......  I am going to say..............  Put it under politics and social issues.  After all, pleasing everyone is a social issue, right?  Cute.. I wish I had thought of this.
