I recently published another hub but was not quite finished  yesterday and shouldn't have been viewed by anyone till it was 100% done. It is now done but I'm wondering why it was allowed to be viewed before I was finished publishing it??

How do you know it was viewed?  Because the stats say so?

      Stats count your views, too...

Yes it said I had 7 views before I had even finished it? But yet when I was editing it it said I was the only one that was supposed to be able to view it until it was actually published??Didn't quite understand??

How many times did you visit the hub yourself, and how many times did you hit the "done editing" button and thus open the hub itself instead of the edit screen?  Seven times, maybe?

Your own views are counted, too.

I have to share I had up to above thirty views of a hub in a 24 hour period. it was a Free eBook. Who viewed not sure or if multiple views of the same entity. So, I concur with the original question by moneyfairy this seems to occur. As a matter of fact that I believe is why they place a "?" mark as the beginning hub score today.

I use to let a hub idle in unpublished banking on views and the score going higher before publishing. That offered a faster index passed the featured declaration. That strategy is  now null and void with the "?" mark as the hub score until after published. Yet, featured status occurs with a higher rate of rapidity noticed with the last half dozen hubs or less.

I believe in good faith I could say I would get on average 3 - 6 views upon finishing a hub and checking back 24 hours later. Those were  not my views. My presumption was due to the turk and just accepted it as that. Yet, I have no conclusive evidence why those times showed those results. I do share it was mostly seen with an interim period when I published Free eBooks and the length of a hub was averaging 4.000 to 4.500 words. So, maybe a head start on stuff? I dun'no . . .

I have never sought to contrast and compare with Google as yet, since I really have not a need of concern. It is only a good thing in my view. And, I question personal views showing up on stats too. I thought they do not show those because of earning computations and stuff. Not sure yet an impression is an impression if not regulated. If my memory serves me right I discovered the data at the "My Traffic Sources" will verify that, yet not sure, if someone wanted to research it. It has been a long time since researching that and memory recall does fade for me.

However, I may be incorrect with personal views and will stand corrected cordially. I simply do not remember. The main jest is it is not an indication of ill will or some such from my experience. it has always been a positive experience for me in the past when views seemed to appear on my stats page of an unpublished hub and/or never published hub.
