Can I copy my hub contents to my other blogs, say blogspot or wordpress?
    Is it against the rules?

That's classed as duplicate content. You'll just be competing with yourself.

Recently I wrote a hub  - Bruce Lee - Wisdom and Philosophy. When I search for Bruce lee+wisdom+philosophy, my hub shows up on the first page, but when I search for Bruce lee+philosophy is doesn't appear anywhere--I looked up till 15 pages. Even a blogspot blog with crappy design and content, which is not so popular, is in search results.
    Why is that?
    WryLilt?
    Anyone?

Huge range of factors. How saturated the topic is. How old the competing pages are. How many backlinks they have. Their SEO. How many people are Googling "Bruce lee+philosophy" though? Have you checked?

Does blogspot get better results then hubpages(say I did the linking and SEO for both)?

        But domain matters, right?
Just saw alexa traffic ranks for HP. It's downhill from 2011.

No matter where you write, there will be pros and cons. There will be ups and downs in traffic.

The main thing is making sure you write Epic Shit.
