A new kind of word game

One of my favorite word games to pass time in places like waiting rooms, is to think up a fairly lengthy word, and see how many other words I can come up with using the letters in the original word.
Last night, as I was struggling to fall asleep, I thought up a variation on that game, which is in effect, a reversal of the process.

Think up a word; short or medium-length, and come up with another word whose letters would allow the formation of your starting word.  The rules remain the same:  if there is a double-letter in your starting word, there must also be at least two of that letter in the word you come up with.
The only change is that it can be either a random re-arrangement of letters, or a simple anagram.

For example:  start with "clear," and see that you can create that word out of the word "caller."
or, "dear" can be an anagram form of "read or dare."

    Now, here's my word:
    ASPECT.

Reply with whatever word you find that would allow the formation of "aspect," and afterwards, I'll reveal what I came up with.  wink

    GO!

Ah - no problem. Let's delete these posts too so we don't confuse anyone. Good game by the way.

Well - I guess it's my turn to pick and I'm going to have to go with chasmac and LAMINATE. That was the first one that came to my mind when I chose my word.

So now it's chasmac's turn to choose a word.
