I am a newbie does this happen often?
My hub does not come up in Google anymore. Google is using my hub title and credentials for someone else's summary.
The way I found this out is I put the title of my hub and it does not exist in google anymore. When putting my hub title with quotation marks: "Quitting Smoking made easy by a Respiratory Therapist who quit smoking" this is what comes up in google:
The best and most effective quitting smoking treatment: The ...
miakouna.hubpages.com › Health
Sep 8, 2013 - The diary of a woman who quit smoking for good: My addiction to cigarettes · Quitting Smoking made easy by a Respiratory Therapist who quit ...
By the way the hub is in the "Spotlight right now…some spotlight…it was tough to find. It was there yesterday so something happened since yesterday. I will go check the others. Thank goodness this is my first since boot camp.
What I pulled up linked to several pages that are under the "Health" category on HP and not your specific hub which may not be indexed yet.
What I think is happening is that your hub is showing up in the related hubs section of other hubbers pages and since you pulled that phrase in quotes, that's why you are getting that in the return results.
No one actually took your content and published it under their name etc. It's the search results pulling up your title because it appears beneath the content of the other hubs.
I recommend searing for a phrase within your hub in quotes if you are checking for plagiarism, not the title itself.
I did not say anyone took my contents…I said google is using my hub title and credentials as someone else's summary from my quit posting my hub. My hub has been posted for days only today it is not since this has happened.
1. Use the google browser and put in the title to my hub:
"Quitting Smoking made easy by a Respiratory Therapist who quit smoking"
Be sure and use the quotation marks which forces those words to appear. Then scroll down the list to about the LOL
These now have my info…how funny…wow…it still takes you to their hubs only their summaries contact my title and credentials
I checked again and this LINKS came up with my info in their summary: my title and Respiratory credentials: (No one stole anything the computer went nuts)
FIRST ONE IN LIST:
12 Steps to Quit Smoking - allean - HubPages
allean.hubpages.com › Health
The nine following it also contain my hub title and credentials in their summaries.
By saying credentials I am referring to Registered Respiratory Therapist.
If these links went to my hub cool…only I am no longer published and it goes to all the other hubs.
Should I contact Hub pages or Google or just Unpublish my hub?
This is so funny now the next four pages under people's links contain my title and credentials. How is that for SEO? I broke the google algorithm.
Check it out and use the quotation marks…go straight to google and put in google search bar my title and watch what happens…this is funny..
My title to my hub; "Quitting Smoking made easy by a Respiratory Therapist who quit smoking"
By the way in my hub account it still show my hub article "Quitting Smoking made easy by a Respiratory Therapist who quit smoking" in the spotlight
If it doesn't' correct today I will un-publish.
Hey thanks for they to help me ChristinS.
Correction: Thanks ChristinS for trying to help me. And for the record: I do not believe everyone listed with links on the four pages I bothered to look at stole the title to my hub which includes the Respiratory Therapist information for their summary. Good news if you click their links it takes you to their hubs….Have a good day..I have to go now. this is not a STAT situation like when I worked at the hospital. All I need do is un- publish if google doesn't fix it.
Never mind… i unpublished my hub titled "Quitting Smoking made easy by a Respiratory Therapist who quit smoking" it was in the Hub spotlight however did not show up on google…I believe the problem is on google's side so this should help them clear it up. I do have 4 other hubs so I am happy…later guys.
I simply unpublished since the problem is on Google end….I still have 4 hubs all is well.

I'm relatively new to this site.I know most sites of its type do their best to be "Google friendly" which translates into "family friendly" (a phrase I hate, by the way). Over the years when tempted to use profanity either in a title or in the body of an article (and I can...

No. It looks like that I just don't get it. When I think I have cracked it. When I think - this will be a great hub - original content, appropriate tags etc etc.. they both turn out to be the WORST performers! I have never started off on a 46 or 47. They seem to start...

Twice today, while editing my hubs, I saw a message at the top that said something like - this hub has previously been published by another account, or something. Forgive the vagueness, I had to help customers in our business, and did not get a screenshot. Update: After I wrote this, it happened...
