Embrace Judeo-Christian culture and values! Is this politician serious?

The apostle’s creed shows that Christianity is based on having to embrace barbaric human sacrifice and the notion that the guilty should be forgiven if a suitable human sacrifice is made to God.

I suggest that having another innocent person suffer for the wrongs you have done, --- so that you might escape responsibility for having done them, --- is immoral. Immoral regardless of the victim volunteering or not which is not the case with Jesus.

That is one of many moral tenets that have cause secular governments to reject Judeo-Christian culture and values.

The bible is a compilation of evil acts by a satanic God and no moral man would every push to have Judeo-Christian culture and values implemented as our law. The U.S. is the closes to that ideal and their jail statistics are the most dismal in the free world.

Would you promote Judeo-Christian culture and values?

    Regards

I watched the video. I saw nothing wrong with the statements. We live in a free society were each person can view the history of that society and come to their own conclusions as to how the current society came to its system of values and traditions. Whatever conclusions one might come to concerning the problems associated with any system of government (none is perfect), or its history (none is without shame) it appears to me that most countries in the first world which can reasonably lay claim to a Judeo Christian culture have open and free societies where  there is a high rate of literacy, relatively well established laws ensuring freedom of speech and religion and citizens have freedom to choose their way in life and what they chose to believe. As a matter of fact, most consider themselves to be secular while allowing elected officials to vote and speak their conscience. Had anyone else, with a different opinion, requested the floor; they could have spoken their mind without fear that those within a Judeo Christian culture would riot in other countries or conduct terror attacks against innocents within the UK in protest.

Not a bad culture to live in, by my estimation. Primarily because by my estimation he was simply advocating that we stand behind the ideals which ensure most of the things that our culture believes are imperative within a free society.

I saw nothing in the video to imply he was advocating anything that you have addressed in your OP. But, I am thankful that you function within a free society which allows you to state your mind.

Human sacrifice is not the right word.  It conjures up someone being slain for a god.  Jesus sacrificed His life.  He lay down His life for mankind.  He died on our behalf.  No one escapes responsibility for their sins.  True repentance is taking on responsibility.  An unrepentant person cannot be forgiven because they take no responsibility for their actions and God cannot be anywhere near sin.  They choose hell.

What is evil and satanic about the New Testament.  I'll agree with you that the OT is about many evil gods who led the Israelites into war.

But the OT god(s) is the same one you worship today.  Did the unchanging god change?
