http://hubpages.com/animals/10-Most-Bea … s-of-India - here's the hub. All the feedback is welcome - thank you in advance.
Stunning photographs and you've used the photographs correctly (at least on the ones I checked). The problem might lie with the links. Leave the text and remove all the links. Then see what happens. Add back the links gradually.
Has the hub been featured previously? Check the symbol at the right-hand side when you are in your account - that should give an indication why the hub is not featured, i.e. traffic, quality or whatever.
No, it hasn't. Excellent recommendation. I should try it. Will see how it goes. Thank you, dear one.
You have a lot of 'bold' in the text where there shouldn't be any.
I read this when you first published and had to bring my Blue-headed Pionus to the screen to see that photo of the Indian Roller. He was so jealous!
I enjoyed this list, think that you will get some traffic with it, but could not understand that huge list of wikipedia references at the end. If I want to know more I can look it up myself. I think you should follow raggededges advice and get rid of all of those links, and as Simey mentions, you have a lot of bolding that is not necessary.
Good info.
We still have the best birds in the world here in Brazil though!!!!
)) Thank you DrMark1961. But since I've used all those sources, I don't feel comfortable just leaving them out. There must be some workaround about this. Need to think...
As a reader, it is not important to me where you learned this information. What is important is a few links that lead me to articles to learn more.
HP is not Wikipedia, and all of those source links are not important here. (Not sure if that is the problem though. I still think Simey and the raggededges suggestions are more important to getting the article featured.)
Thank you anyway - your advice was very useful too.
Thank you so much!! All of you have been so helpful. What a great and strong community here at hubpages. I'm glad I've joined this blogging (hubbing) platform.
This is actually not a blogging site but one for writing articles. There is a difference between the two forms of writing and as long as you remember that you are writing an article you should have no problems getting approved in the future.
I see you fixed what the others have brought to your attention. Here's one other thing I noticed:
You made reference to the "video on the right," but the problem is most traffic these days comes from mobile devices. HubPages merges the right column in a single column when viewed on mobile due to the small screen size, so those people wouldn't understand what you are referring to. It's all in a single vertical flow. You're right-column videos may not even fall in the right place below the text that talks about it.
It's best to use full width for both images and videos for that reason. Place the video below the text that refers to it and change the text to say "see the video below" or "as shown in the video below".
You can confirm everything looks good on mobile by using the mobile preview in the HubTool. Select "preview" and then click "mobile preview". I do that with every hub I write.
What an excellent piece of advice! Thank you very much, mentor Glenn!

I woke up this morning and one of my Hubs (Visiting Fort Myers Beach, Florida) was unFeatured. Normally, it's no mystery why a Hub is unFeatured, as the ones that fall into that category have no traffic. However this one has decent traffic. The traffic is not great by many...

Re: My Hub https://hubpages.com/literature/The-Hou … -It-for-MeThis hub has been featured for a rather long time. It recently has been marked as Not Featured with a comment that it may have spammy elements. I do not put spammy elements on my Hubs. The notice makes reference to ads. I...

I just logged in and it shows every single one of my hubs highlighted in pink, to need review. The majority of these were well trafficked and featured hubs or editor's choice. Did something happen? I tried looking in the questions and forums and didn't see anything. I am not a former Squidoo person...

Hi folks,After an absence of about four years, I'm slowly returning to HubPages and thought to start by cleaning up broken links. After I did that, I suddenly started getting messages on all the hubs I cleaned up saying "Your Hub Could Be Featured!" So, it looks like my good deed is being...

I am a little bit confused about how this works. One of my hubs got flagged because I had more than two link cloakers on it. It was flagged for the no more than 2 redirects to the same domain, which I understand, but the cloakers took you to various sites (never the same one). I've seen other hubs...
