"Duplicate" even though i deleted my other blog?

   Hey everyone,
   
   So i have had a Wordpress account for 4 years and ive written several articles and will now continue to write articles only on Hub Pages. I submitted two of my first original blog articles from my Wordpress account and i got them both flagged for being "duplicates". So i went to my Wordpress page and deleted the article as i was advised to do then simply submitted the articles again here on Hubpages.
   
   The Status of both of these blogs is now GREEN in colour. Yet underneath it still says "Duplicate" in bold red. Both articles have a "changed" and "published" date. Also My "Published Hubs" still says 0.
   
   Can you please advise if this means that the blogs are currently live and online without any problems here on the Hub? Any help is greatly appreciated as i endeavour to make my entire Wordpress blog obsolete and transfer my works here gradually.

      In addition to the great advice Marisa gave you, I would add that while the potential for earning in HP is there, it can sometimes take years before you start making money.  Some people never make much.  The learning curve here is steep, so it takes time to get your bearings.  When I started, almost 5 years ago, I made practically nothing for the first two years, but boy did I learn a lot about online writing!  I do OK now, but certainly not enough to earn a living.  For me, it's a nice hobby that I enjoy doing.  Just thought you should know the truth about this site before you make any changes.  It's a wonderful place with great writers and some terrific people.  The team is responsive and fair, but they're not kidding about following the rules here.  Whatever you decide, good luck!

   It can take a day or two for the Wordpress version to disappear from Google, so unpublish those Hubs, wait a day or two and try publishing them again.
   
   Just a note, though - I had a look at your blog - is that the one you're going to shut down?   What a shame that would be.  You have a specialist subject and you write well on it.

      Hi Marisa thank you for your response.
      
      Well that is my conundrum indeed, i do enjoy Wordpress and i have invested a lot of time and articles on the page and overall my Wordpress articles have recieved many many views. Yet there is absolutely no incentive to it and given my time is a lot more restricted i feel less inclined to write.
      
      At least on the Hub is potential to earn, yet either way this is a bit of a gamble for me because i could come here and had a minor amount of views and zero financial advantage and i would consider that a loss.
      
      So i might try it out with my first ten blogs, if i see no potential here i might stop the transition process. Either way my works are saved and i could republish the articles on Wordpress, yet this is refreshing, new and different for me and i do believe in its potential.

         You would also have the potential to earn if you transferred your Wordpress blog to a self-hosted version.  I know that will cost money but not as much as you might think - you could get shared hosting at namecheap.com, for instance, for about $10 for your first year.  If you aren't sure how to manage the transfer, someone like myself can do the transfer for you for about $50.
         
         The advantage of that is that you'll preserve all the history and links from your existing blog, whereas if you move them to HubPages you're starting at zero again, all reputation lost.
         
         You'll need an Adsense account to earn anything at HubPages - and you could use that same Adsense account to put ads on your own blog. 
         
         The issue with HubPages is that the site has a lot of rules.  There are good reasons for those rules but you may find yourself limited in what you can write about.
