I've talked with a few of you today about writing hubs to focus on Amazon sales, and I have checked out several of your hubs.

I wrangled this together, please give me your thoughts.

Do I have enough products? Should I go into more detail with the descriptions?

    thanks guys smile

Actually, Jen, I think all my sales have been for products that I didn't describe!

I will usually stick a few ads in the hub that are relevant to my topic.
I don't have any sales at all yet, but I also don't have a good amount of traffic (and still very few hubs)

So this is an experiment. Throw it against the wall, and see what sticks smile

This hub was originally going to be posted in my food section but I couldn't quite make it fit with the others in the group.

I'll un-Frankenstein it and rework it for my foodie-info group if it is no good as it is.

Here is my suggestion.  I hope it helps!

Pick a specific product to highlight instead of just having a bunch of different products on the side.  (Go to Amazon and see which icecream maker is selling well and has good ratings and use that one.)

I find if the hub is too general you don't get buyers, just lookers.

Move your image down the page further and use that position to promote your #1 product.

The top right position is the best money making position so don't waste an image there. wink

Also I'd break this lens up into two different lenses to target the two keywords you are trying to rank for: Make Icecream & Buy Icecream Maker.  You want each lens to be tightly focused on one topic only.

Link them together of course for some extra backlinks wink

Don't be afraid to use your Amazon affiliate link directly to the product as well as using the hub capsule.

Here is an example of one of my Amazon lenses.  See how tightly focused it is on ONE product.  Notice where I've put my links and images.

    Hope that helps!

at a glance, you used less copy than i did. And I used three categories. It was supposed to be a how-to thingy but I reworked it.
I will analyze this more topmorrow. I was wrapped up today.

Tracy, thanks so much. When I get good, I will pay it forward too lol
