Hey guys today I just crossed The 4000 views mark in total traffic to my hubs using Twitter alone, Twitter can be a powerful tool and is often underestimated, of all the social networks Twitter is one of the most used for marketing purposes, and when it comes to driving traffic Twitter rules.

I posted an image for proof in my website which you guys can check out..

Here is a little tip if you have a Twitter account use the tool provided by hubpages when you published a hub that sends a tweet directly to Twitter, it helps.

    Thanks Lester

Lester, that sounds very impressive, but it's a waste of time unless the traffic converted well.  Can you tell us that statistic?

For instance, you can get a lot of traffic from Stumbleupon but Stumblers never click on ads.

Well actually my followers convert extremely good mainly because they are all targeted in the affiliate marketing field and I tweet about hubs related to that field so conversions are great..

Lester, I also use an auto tweeter to good results. I mix in other linking and am booking against 10,000 page views in three months.

Twitter is a good tool. Don't be afraid to add a few other, too.

Good question Alan, without followers you can't benefit..I have 450 followers, haven't found out how to get a load of them yet, tried to research programs that mass add followers but they usually require payment for full usage

That's where I'm going wrong! I don't understand Twitter any more than I understand Facebook, so I have no friends LOL
Well I have some on Facebook, I just don't use the site!

Why don't you add your Twitter profile link to your HubPages profile page and your blogs with a short Follow Me message?  Or search for other Twitter users to follow who have the same interests as you and they will follow you back.  Twellow is quite good for that kind of search

You don't need followers to get traffic. People searching for your subject will see your posts.  When I turn the auto Tweeter (AT) off I get traffic for a week. Then the AT goes back on.
