Printable Hubs?

I've been asked by readers quite a bit lately if there is a way to print the hubs--particularly with recipes, but a few since posting my How to Crochet hub last night.
I remember bringing this up before, and it was on the to do list.

So, how is that coming along?

Inquiring minds long to know.  Thanks.

The todo list keeps growing:)  I think it's a good and useful feature.  I'm not sure where it is in the overall list, but it will be here some day.  We ususally bump stuff up when people ask for it.

    Thanks for reminding us.

I understand about the ever growing to do list!  Mine is the same way.

Thanks for the update.  I'll pass it on to those asking me.

We just rolled out our first pass at making hubs print more nicely.  Please let me know if you notice any problems.  It should filter out pretty much everything except the contents of the hub.

OK, this is strange. I recently started my own site to deal with this for the same reason and have stared putting a PDF/Printer friendly link on the bottom of by recipes.

But I would much prefer a Hubpages version.

Mark, we just used CSS to hide the elements that we didn't want to appear in the printed version.  You can do that using "@media print", something like this:

That way you don't have to have a separate link or anything, you just use the regular browser print function.

Nice looking site, Mark. How is Joomla to work with?

So far, things have been printing pretty okay.  Just to let you guys know.  You probably hear more complaints than positives.

I know it helps to be able to print out recipes.  Thanks!
