      I think I can safely say it is Felton Jarvis, the producer of Elvis records

      Thanks for your question, Jyoti Kothari.  I was thinking in terms of Western pop music and should have made myself a bit more specific.

      The producer who sticks out in my mind would have to be Phil Spector - the "Wall of Sound" had an enormous influence on pop music and was much imitated.

      Who is your favourite pop producer?

        I don't like pop music much and my knowledge about the same is little. I can't name one who recorded most.

    I would say Quincy Jones he is one of the only ones in the music industry who is still making successful and has been for over 50 years.

      Yep, I agree QJ has probably got to be the one. He was the MAN behind MJ and we know now BIG he was!
