It seems to be new, there's one more new feature I just have noticed - hub bookmarking (shown on the right side column)

You're right... that wasn't there earlier this morning when I logged in. That may come in really handy - I'm always finding hubs with information that is interesting, but I frequently have to search for them later or add them to my favorites in my browser. This may be much more convenient.

Word Count = No. of words in your Hub.
Revenue Potential = The more No. of $ signs you have, the more money earning potential there is.
Incoming Links = No. of sites / blogs linking back to your Hub.
View Duration = The more No of stsrs, the more time people are spending reading your Hub.

I would imagine if they aren't givin' you an 'mount of time, then its relative to either all your other hubs or all the hubs on hubpages.  They probably are simply taking amount spent/vistor on your site divided by amount spent per visitor on either your hub or all hubs combined and then ranking that number to generate the astricks.

It is possible that the hub has an internal counter system to record the amount of time spent on the page.

Each star represents a time value and then the more stars you have the longer people are looking at it.

Thats what it seems to be to me...I hope that shone some light on this for you?

I have Statcounter on my blogs. And the view duration is usually in minutes. The unit isn't as important as much as the number of units shown . . .
