Fire Power

Fire power in DC Universe Online is for those that like to get up close and personal and blast their enemies with spouts of raging orange flame. This will often mean enemies will give them a lot of attention, which is why Fire Power is common for those that like to Tank. They can also spread their flames to multiple enemies, causing as much damage as possible. Fire Power is broken down into two specializations: Ignition & Immolation.

Tanking – The Tank Role for Fire Power users have the following abilities. Firstly all the damage you cause will be penalized by 20%. But on the flip-side, using super powers increases your total health by 60% and healing received by 80%. Using Ignition will also make you a target for enemies causing them to attack you rather then your allies. Finally, you gain +3 perception, improving your chance of detecting stealth using enemies.

PVP – You gain a special advantage versus Gadget and Mental power users. You are immune to their debuffing effects and highly resistant to their controls. Some abilities will even provide you (and your allies) with total immunity to Controller effects. Attacking them may even inspire ‘Confidence’ within you, which for a short period of time will increase your damage to 55%.

Immolation

Immolation powers focus on calling forth fires from within yourself to affect the world around you. Immolation powers cause flames to well up around your character, causing damage to anyone in the vicinity. Immolation abilities also bolster your will to win, adding an extra element to help in combat.

Tier 1

Immolation
Instantly engulfs you in flames to damage nearby enemies
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)

Tier 2

Enflame
Engulfs you in flames to burn nearby enemies
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)

Flashpoint
Blasts a wave of heat to push enemies back
[Power Interactions] Inflicts Burning to cause damage over time; when Immolation is active, nearby objects and enemies will burst into flames
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Immolation

Meteor Strike
Plummets down a throwable burning meteor to burn and smash enemies
[Power Interactions] Inflicts Burning to cause damage over time
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)

Tier 3

Volcanic Calamity
[100% Supercharge Cost]
Explodes under your enemy with the power of an active volcano to wreak widespread destruction

Reignition
[Usable While Controlled]
[50% Supercharge Cost]
Ignites nearby enemies while instantly restoring some portion of your health

Tier 4

Burnout
[Usable While Controlled]
Knocks back enemies and bestows immunity against control effects for you and up to three teammates

[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 45% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)

Fiery Weapon
Ignites your weapon, increasing damage and critical strike chance
[Power Interactions] Striking a Burning enemy may provide a healing effect

Prerequisite: Flashpoint

Consume Objects
Detonates a massive conflagration to heal you and damage enemies
[Power Interactions] Inflicts heavy damage on enemies Encased by Ice, Nature, Mental or Gadget powers
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 45% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Meteor Strike

Tier 5

Spontaneous Combustion
[Vulnerable to Interrupt]
Ignites and may knock down nearby enemies
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 50% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Burnout

Inferno
[Vulnerable to Interrupt]
Ignites the area with roaring flames
[Power Interactions] Inflicts Burning to cause damage over time. Bestows Immolation upon all allies in the area of effect, reflecting damage back to their attackers

Prerequisite: Fiery Weapon

Stoke Flames
[Usable While Controlled]
Restores health over time
[Power Interactions] Immolation, Enflame, Inferno all provide additional Health while active
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 50% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Consume Objects

Ignition

Flames burst forth, searing your opponents and their nearby allies. The damage from ignition powers become multiplied when used in tandem with other fire powers.

Fireball
Blasts a searing fireball at an enemy to damage and knock them down
[Power Interactions] Inflicts Burning to cause damage over time
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)

Tier 2

Absorb Hit
Damages and stuns enemies by sucking the heat from their bodies
[Power Interactions] Absorbing Heat from Burning enemies will heal you and increase your maximum health for a short time
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)

Detonate
Explodes enemies, damaging and knocking them down
[Power Interactions] Burning enemies take heavy damage
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Fireball

Wildfire
Blasts out fire to knock down your target
[Power Interactions] Burning targets will set nearby enemies on fire
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)

Tier 3

Fireball Barrage
[50% Supercharge Cost]
Damages and knocks down enemies with a barrage of blazing fireballs

Eternal Flame
[100% Supercharge Cost]
Doubles your health, gives you immunity against control effects, and restores health with every blow received in combat

Tier 4

Backdraft
[Usable While Controlled]
Damages and pulls enemies towards you
[Power Interactions] Heals you and increases your maximum health when used against Burning enemies
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 45% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Absorb Heat


Flame Cascade
[Vulnerable to Interrupt]
Lobs a series of flaming balls to knock down, damage, and set enemies on fire
[Power Interactions] Burning, Frostbitten, and Electrified enemies take additional damage
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 60% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Detonate

Fireburst
[Vulnerable to Interrupt]
Unleashes a pyroclastic barrage to damage and knock down enemies
[Power Interactions] Burning, Frostbitten, and Electrified enemies take additional damage
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 60% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Wildfire

Tier 5

Burning Determination
[Usable While Controlled]
Uses force of will to provide healing from the next three strikes against you: the lower your total health, the more healing you will receive
[Power Interactions] Negates control and Stoke Flames effects
[Tank Role] Extends immunity against debuffs and effects to allies
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 50% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Backdraft

Mass Detonation
Detonates your target enemy and others nearby in a massive pyrokinetic chain reaction
[Power Interactions] Any Burning enemies take additional damage
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 60% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Flame Cascade

Snuff Out
Blasts out fire, knocking down and heavily damaging enemies, with enemies at 35% health or below taking additional damage
