New Runescape 3 1-99 Smithing Guide 2014 (EOC)

Updated on April 20, 2014

In this guide i will tell you the best, fastest and cheapest way to get 99 Smithing (smith) on the online game Runescape.

Smithing is known to be as one of the hardest skills to master on Runescape. The reason for which it is believed to be one of the hardest skills is that it can cost quite allot of money and it is also quite boring making platebodies. If you are looking for a fast and cheap skill-cape to get then Smithing is definitely not the best cape to be going for, instead you want to go for a cape such as cooking (this guide can be found on my profile). Now on with the Smithing guide :)

In order to carry out my method to 99 you will need to complete The Knights Sword Quest, this is a very easy quest and on completion you will be rewarded with 12,725xp in Smithing which will give you a Smithing level of 29.

Fastest Method to 99

Levels 1-29 = Complete The Knights Sword Quest

Levels 29-33 = Make Iron Bolts (unfinished)

Levels 33-48 = Make Iron Platebodies (90k xp P/H)

Levels 48-68 = Make Steel Platebodies (140k xp P/H)

Level 68-88 = Make Mithril Platebodies (170k xp P/H)

Levels 88-99 = Make Adamant Platebodies (210k xp P/H)

Locations

From levels 29-99 you will need to use an anvil so i recommend going to Varrock west bank and using the anvils directly south of it. Smith on the anvils and then when done run back to the bank to deposit the platebodies and take out your new bars, this technique should be used all the way to 99 Smithing.

Profits and Losses

By doing this method you are going to make a loss of around 150-200m depending on the current prices in the grand exchange. Below i will show you how to calculate this loss:

1)Find out the price of one bar of the particular metal that you wish to smith in the grand exchange.

2)Multiply that price by 5 (this is because it requires 5bars to make a platebody)

3)Find out the sale price of that particular platebody and then subtract it from the cost of 5bars. the final figure will be the amount you will lose per platebody that you make.

If you have any problems calculating prices leave a comment in the section below and i will get back to you within 48hours thanks! :)
