FOCUS ON YOUR GOOD POINTS
It's too easy to forget about your good points at a time like this because you assume that you just have a whole load of bad points...which is why your relationship has ended. Why would you even be thinking about good points?
You have many good points...great points...excellent points...but it's very easy to forget about your strengths when you've been ripped apart by negative feelings of loss and abandonment...after being discarded by a loved one. You have to lose these feelings of insecurity because your romance probably isn't over because of any bad points you might have. There could be all manner of reasons why your ex has changed emotions. Their own circumstances might well have changed. Perhaps it just wasn't right for them personally and there's no point in carrying on blindly when both parties aren't gaining something from the experience. Stop taking things so personally...give yourself a boost by thinking about your good points...and then get on with your life.
Let's get on with it...come on...chop chop.
Get that journal out...open it to a fresh white unblemished page...and make a list of your good points. Take as long as you wish to build it up...make the list as long as you can...and then add some more. Just keep adding. Big points...little points...they all count. Focus on all the aspects of your life that you can be proud of. Remember the times when people have complimented you. Think of your achievements. Consider the times when you turned near-disaster into surefire-success. Record your physical attributes, your talents, your past happinesses, your triumphs and add the fantastic friends that you have to that list. The good people you've linked with are all part of your positive profile. Like attracts like...so be sure that if you have some wonderful friends you must be pretty much on the verge of wonderful yourself.
Don't hold back...nobody's going to see this list...and if they do...stuff it...this is about you taking control of your life and being happy again. Aptly enough...being able to take control of your life is yet another one of your bright shiny good points.
Don't limit yourself...even if you have to buy new exercise books to accomodate your rampaging skills list and even if you have to replace ink-drained pens along the way.
Fill that paper...drain that ballpoint pen....improve your self-esteem.

HOW CAN I GET THE BEST OUT OF EVERY SITUATION
WHAT CAN I DO TO TURN ALL THAT I DO INTO A WIN
WHERE ELSE CAN I LOOK TO LEARN NEW SKILLS
WHAT MORE CAN I DO TO HELP OTHER PEOPLE
