Create a Vision Board of your Dreams and Goals

I first found out about the vision board in the book called "The Secret." A vision board is a simple yet powerful visualization tool that activates the universal law of attraction to begin manifesting your dreams into reality. The meaning of the vision board has existed for generations, but it has grown ever since the best-selling DVD documentary The Secret has been released.

Before I did not know what a vision board was so I found out that a vision board is a visual representation or collage of the things that you want to have, what you want to do, and what you want to be in your life.

All you need to make your own vision board is a poster or foam board with cut-out pictures, drawings and or writing on it that can express the things that you want to become.

For example, me I want to travel to Denmark, Australia, Sweden, Ireland and Spain. I also want to be a Preschool Teacher and one day write a novel about my own life and my mother's life. I believe that everyone's life is interesting and not boring, you do not have to be a celebrity or singer to be able to write a story about your own life. So for me to be able to attract all of those positive desires and make them come true in my life, then I have to manifest them into my own vision board in a positive way.

The main purpose of the vision board is to activate the law of attraction to begin to pull things from your external environment that will enable you to realize your dream. By choosing pictures and writing that changes your emotions with feelings of passion, you will begin to manifest those things into your own life.

You might be wondering right now what is the law of attraction? The law of attraction mentions that we attract into our lives anything that we give all of our attention to, whether it is positive or negative.

So go ahead make your own!

Make it however you want, it is your own personal vision board, it is only limited by extent of your own creativity.

Some elements that can be included in your own vision board are:

  • Visual- This means your subconscious mind works in pictures and images, so make it as visual as possible by adding as many pictures as you want. You can also accompany your images with words or phrases to increase emotional response.
  • Emotional- each picture that you cut out and add to your vision board should evoke a positive emotional response from you. Looking at your vision board should make you feel happy inside and out.
  • Were you place your vision board counts. It should be placed in a location that gives you the chance to look at it all the time. You need to be constantly reminded of the dreams and goals you post in your vision board.
