How Much Do You Treasure Your Life
When you stop and think to yourself, and ask, "how much do you treasure your life" is somewhat of a hard question for some to answer.
Lets ask ourselves this.
Do you love people? Do you love life? Do you want to live a long life? Do you love yourself?
Now, if you answered some or all of the questions with the answer "YES" then why do we tend to self-destruct ourselves with an avoidable addiction such as drugs and alcohol?
For some, maybe they have lost their self esteem and really don't love themselves at all, and really don't care about the consciences of a long addiction to a drug. Some may have lost all hope in their life, which causes them to become depressed and turn to the bottle for, so they think, support.
I was heading to that point in my life when I really didn't much care about anything in my life. I was depress, but tried to hide it from many. I think this is a pretty hard thing to hide, due to the fact people would ask, if I felt alright, or what is wrong. I think they could read right through me and I never realized it.
Yes, I would turn to the bottle for my crutch to lean on, not realizing that someday the crutch would be kicked out from under me.
You really have to start to love yourself before you can ever start to love another. If you don't believe in yourself and what you stand for in this world, then that must be your first move to make. Start caring for yourself and thinking that you are worth everything that you stand for. Get all negative thoughts out of your mind and start thinking POSITIVE!
We all were placed on earth for a reason, and the reasons are different for each of us. God has a plan for each and everyone of us, and it's our job to fulfill his plans and not go against what he (God) has planed for us.
We the addicted, are living in our own little world of make believe and what we were put on this earth for is Not make believe, it is the real thing and we must make the best of every second we walk on earth.
Life is so precious and we all only have one of them, so why not enjoy these years being sober and clear minded and try to achieve all of your goals in life that you dreamed of when you were younger.
I know I had many goals and dreams when I was young, but the alcohol addiction I had put a halt to all of it.
So now realizing I am who I am and I must make the best of what God has given me, and to improve in those natural talents as well.
Watching these two videos puts a little light on the subject of loving yourself before you can love someone else.
Don't be ashamed of yourself and never compare yourself to others. You are You and no one else. So, believe in yourself and respect and love yourself like no other. Make your life worth living by following your heart and God.
