Preparing for 2012 by Raising Your Frequency

Updated on April 3, 2021

Have you recently been feeling fatigued, achy and emotional for what seems to be no apparent reason? Have you also noticed that you are spending more time on spiritual pursuits? Are you having trouble explaining why you have a loss of interest in activities that you have always loved and now seem pointless? Do you find yourself being more careful about the foods you eat? All of these are connected and have to do with the higher frequencies of energy that have been arriving on Earth the last few years. These energies are coming from our moon (especially during new and full moons), from the sun (solar flares), during equinoxes and solstices, and even from further out in our galaxy and universe. Not only have these energies increased in intensity, they are infiltrating Earth’s atmosphere more often, too. As these energies arrive, they are raising the frequency of all humanity, as well as all life on our precious Earth, in preparation for the dawning of a new age in Earth’s history.

“Out with the old, in with the new” is the cliché that best fits what will be happening over the next couple years. Whether someone is consciously aware or not, this cleansing, purifying and rebirthing process will cause many to experience physical and emotional symptoms as their bodies try to adjust to the higher frequencies. More and more of humanity will awaken to their true nature, which is first and foremost as a spiritual being. Mother Earth joins us in our rebirthing preparations, which is why she is moving and shaking more than usual.

There are many ways that we can make this process gentler and smoother, for ourselves and for Mother Earth, and each of them have to do with raising our frequency. By raising the frequency of our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies, we essentially are bringing ourselves in alignment with the level of frequencies that are continuing to come into our atmosphere. When we are in balance with these energies, we will experience less upheaval in our lives and environment. Since absolutely everything has a frequency, it follows that in order to raise our frequency, we need to consume, utilize, do, etc. those things that have as high or higher frequency than we do.

A body with a high frequency can live longer, even forever. A body with a low frequency allows dis-ease to manifest. Everything you think, feel, say, do, breathe, consume, hear, touch, read, watch, etc. will have some impact on your body’s longevity and it is up to each individual to decide if they want to have a low or a high frequency existence. Negative thoughts and feelings are just as poisonous to the physical body as are consuming lifeless foods and drugs, being exposed to pollution, toxic chemicals and radiation, listening to discordant music and pursuing mind- and heart-numbing entertainment. This list is by no means complete, but I’d rather concentrate this article on frequency raising activities, so below I’ll give some examples of them to get you started thinking in terms of your frequency. Your best shot at success, though, is to “listen” to what your body and your intuition are saying to you.

High frequency foods are foods that are as close to nature as possible. This means, ideally, that they have not been genetically modified, they have been grown with no chemicals and according to organic principles, they have just been picked, are raw or lightly cooked, and are unprocessed. Although it can seem an insurmountable task in today’s world to find foods that meet this criteria, especially in some areas of the world, you can still get excellent quality foods by trying to buy from a local small farmer when possible, and when not available or out of season, the next best thing is to buy certified organic. Listen to your body about how much raw food it will tolerate and can easily digest. You may need to make the transition slowly. Greens and more greens, the darker in color the better, are one of the most effective ways to safely and gently detoxify your body. Other benefits of a diet consisting of natural foods are more energy, greater consciousness and better emotional balance to face whatever challenges life throws at you.

Although pure, unadulterated water is very difficult to find anywhere on planet Earth these days, it is essential to your body’s well-being and longevity. Water flushes out toxins, moisturizes all bodily tissues, and helps with nutrient absorption into cells. This is one area where you may want to spend some money and get a good quality water purifier that removes a wide range of toxic chemicals, heavy metals and other undesirable substances like drugs and bacteria.

Natural remedies like herbs, flower essences and essential oils all work on the physical and etheric bodies through vibrational frequencies. Flower essences, for example, are especially useful when thought patterns like self-doubt, fear, shame, self-judgment, self-criticism, etc. are underlying causes of a dis-ease. They are most successful when the root cause has been determined and the flower essence(s) that most fits the core issue is selected. Saying a positive affirmation related to the core issue at the same time as using the flower essence(s) increases its effectiveness. Many times, healing does not occur because an individual does not believe they deserve to be healthy.

Donning an “attitude of gratitude” is a wonderful way to train the mind to think positively. When things seem to be going bad or falling apart, take a moment to look for something that is just a little bit positive about it and then express your gratitude for that. Despite how ghastly a situation may seem to be, you can always find something to be grateful for, even if it is the lesson or lessons that can be learned from it. Remember to be grateful when life is going great too. Its not a good idea to take the good times for granted.

Take some time to look deep within your soul and list what you truly desire. Create positive affirmations for each item on your list and say the affirmations aloud or to yourself every day, believing that you are the person you want to be, you can have what you desire and you are worthy of having all your dreams fulfilled. This is what the Law of Attraction is all about. “Like attracts like” and “reap what you sow” may be over used and appear to be outmoded in today’s world, but a lot of truth can be found in a cliché.

An unforgiving attitude is more damaging to the unforgiver than the unforgiven. Practicing forgiveness opens you up to receive more light and love from the universe, as well as freeing the individual you are forgiving to do the same. Ho’oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian technique that means to make right. In its simplest form, all you need to do is consider a time or situation when you have felt wronged, and with your heart say “I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I love you.” Do this until you can think about the person without feeling any negative emotions. And most importantly, don’t forget to forgive and love yourself!

Taking up or expanding upon a spiritual practice benefits you by balancing your mind and creating a calmness that allows you to be less influenced by external circumstances, besides its positive benefits to physical health. There are many different ways to get in touch with your spiritual nature, such as meditation and praying. These teach you to go within when searching for truth and guidance. Within is where you’ll find love, your true self and the source of all there is.

Listening to music that is uplifting can build confidence, motivate, ease depression, heal, generate peacefulness and, at the very least, just plain make you feel good. Harsh, negative music can leave you feeling upset, negative or angry. Studies have shown that listening to aggressive, discordant music unfavorably alters brain structure. It also tends to keep the listener in their left-brain. Ideally, we should aspire to use both sides of our brain equally. This is called whole brain thinking. Whole brain thinking not only enhances logic, intuition, analytical skills, mechanical reasoning and artistic ability, it also heightens your awareness. There are many music and other sound CDs that have specifically been designed to balance the right and left hemispheres of the brain. One example is Holosync. There are also a variety of exercises that can be used to train the brain. A simple yogic breathing exercise goes like this: Sit comfortably. Take a deep breath. Pause. Use the thumb of your right hand to close the right nostril. Exhale from the left nostril. Take another deep breath from just the left nostril. Pause. Use the index finger of your right hand to close the left nostril. At the same time open the right nostril and exhale from just that nostril. Take a deep breath from the right nostril, and continue exhaling and inhaling from alternate nostrils. Do this a few minutes every day, building slowly. You may feel some light-headedness when you first start.

As important as it is to balance the workings of your mind, it is essential to open your heart and trust the promptings from it. The heart has a pure energy that is the intelligence of the soul. The heart knows everything and will always guide you to your best and highest good. The mind is exceptional at learning and analyzing, but it does not have the wisdom to choose the right action. That is the role of the heart. The heart is open and receptive to all possibilities. It takes the information from the mind and connects it to the wisdom of the Mind of God. Meditating, opening the heart chakra (see the meditation in the next paragraph), practicing loving, service and forgiveness, wearing the color green (the color of the heart chakra) and working with the healing crystal Rose Quartz are some ways to help yourself to become aware of your heart center and begin to listen to its counsel.

Each of us has seven main energy centers in our bodies, called chakras. When these energy centers are closed or blocked, energy is unable to flow freely throughout the body, causing emotional as well as physical disorders. One of the easiest ways I’ve seen to open the chakras is through this simple daily meditation. It is so easy that it can be done almost any time, any place, however you may want to start with sitting in a comfortable position with your eyes closed. Take a few deep breaths, relaxing as you exhale. Feel all tension leaving your body from the top of your head, all the way down to your feet. Once relaxed, take another deep breath. Hold your breath as long as you can while visualizing, feeling or intuiting a beautiful clear ball of bright red in the area of your root chakra. Exhale. Take another deep breath and hold it while visualizing, feeling or intuiting a beautiful clear ball of bright orange in the area of your sacral chakra. Do the same for your solar plexus (yellow), heart (green), throat (royal blue), third eye (indigo) and crown (violet) chakras, in that order. That’s it! If you want to explore chakras further, there are many wonderful sources of information on the Internet.

Breathe! This may be last on the list, but it is one of the most important. When you breathe deeply and fully, you are breathing in pure light direct from Source. It will clear your head, open your heart and energize your body. When done consciously, breathing is a natural healer for the body, mind and spirit. Disciplines, such as yoga, Tai Chi and martial arts, have many breathing techniques that can be learned quickly.

Most of the techniques mentioned in this article for raising your frequency require little or no additional financial output by you, however you may need to do a little research to find what resonates with you. There also may be situations where you need a little outside help to move through an especially trying health or emotional issue. At these times, consider using the services of energy healers, acupuncturists, reflexologists, chiropractors, or masseuses, to name just a few. I wish you love and success on your journey to higher dimensions!
