Why does yawning make a person more tired?
I have heard that yawning makes a person more tired than before. Why is that?
Due to the fact that it's own built in association to feeling tired... As soon as you yawn you can almost bet that your mood goes down and so do your energy levels.
Yawning is actually quite a mysterious phenomenon. There is little known about why we yawn, but perhaps it makes us feel more tired simply because it causes us to take in a very deep breath. Breathing deeply is very relaxing in itself. :]
