Staying young forever - the simple ways!

Updated on May 31, 2012

Have you ever wondered what if there is a secret of staying or remaining young forever? What will you do to have that secret? How much are you willing to pay for such information?

Well…let me present you with the good news.

First, there is a secret. Secondly, you don’t have to pay anything to know it. All you have to do is to apply it and lo and behold, it will start working for you just like it is already working for me.

Are you ready?

Let’s take a closer look.

Become stress free

I believe you already know this? Nothing in this life can make someone to age faster more than stress. Our daily lives are so stressed up with these unending stories of woes, crime, wars, man’s inhumanity to man as well as thoughts of how to get more money and acquire more and more material wealth, how to pay off our debts, how to get a well paying job, how to get out of the global recession, how to get this, get that…

Sometimes, we might even end up thinking and worrying ourselves to stress more than even getting down to do the real work required to get us what we want or get us out of the mess we are already in.

And then it starts showing up all over our body as we start suddenly start to age much faster and more noticeable due to the stress within after all our aging starts from the mind and being stressed up is an inside job.

So if you are really interested in remaining young forever or even controlling and/or slowing down the rate at which your aging is occurring, you just have to learn how to become stress free.

One thing you must know. There will always be one problem or another troubling us. But one easy formula I always try to apply when trying to tackle any of such problems is this: I always try to ask myself what is the worst that can happen should so, so and so occur?

The answers I provide to such questions somehow always manage to keep me out of stress and subsequently young forever!

When life seems as if it is becoming more of an illusion, a test and with no headway in sight making you to become so much afraid of what it might spring up to you next, please don’t panic. Face it man, nothing could be worse than it already is.

When you think life has not been so fair to you like it is to some of your friends or some other people you know, watch it! Don’t ever let the envy cum jealousy set in and make your heart turn cold. Stop and count your blessings and you will surprisingly find out that you have even achieved more than you think. Look at the brighter side. Shrug it off and tell yourself what I always tell myself – “and so?”

You might not be ready to believe that but that two word phrase has a way of completely dissolving every problem that could cause me stress.

Smile

You just have to learn how to smile. Smile all the time. Smile at the world. Smile at people you know. Smile at strangers you just met.

Turn around now and smile at the person you see next to you. Don’t be shocked when you see that person smile back at you. It is simply because our smiles, especially when they are true, can be quite infectious.

It signifies confidence and we all love confident people. It induces hope which means that it is not yet over for any of us.

Science has shown that it takes much less effort to smile than to tighten and squeeze our faces in anger, hatred or frustration. When we smile, our heart pumps more blood and we increase our blood circulation which makes it possible for us to become healthier as well as younger.

Always be ready to laugh at yourself. There is no need to take yourself so serious. This life is a game and you have to play it and also enjoy it while the game lasts. And that also means that you should also start to work hard towards overcoming that strangling and stifling mentality of winning at all times and at all cost.

So start smiling and laughing now and smile yourself into youthfulness and long life!

OK. Assuming you got this message very well, can you smile for me now, pleeasse…?

Thank you.

Exercise

Exercise is one thing that can help us maintain our youthful appearance. You don’t even need to kill yourself in the gym in the name of tedious exercises. Just make a practice of maintaining the little push-ups and sit-ups you can do and keep it up and you will still get there.

Studies have shown that when we exercise, we excrete toxins out of our body system through sweating. Those who also want to maintain their shape or lose some fats can easily do that by exercising too.

There are lots and lots of simple exercises we might do. Things like walking instead of using the car, riding our bicycles, washing the car and doing some other home chores can also be beneficial to our general well-being.

Remember also the all important aspect of exercising our brain too for the sake of our mental well-being. We should be able to work out some mathematical problems, solve some (jigsaw) puzzles, try and learn some new things like learning a foreign language, and also keep ourselves informed with news and current affairs.

These things will surely buy us our youth.

Become a child

I don’t mean that you should become a child by crying or doing any those crazy things children do.

No way.

I want you to become a child by becoming interested in life just like children. Take your time and watch any child or children playing. You will see how much zest and energy they exhibit.

They are so inquisitive. They want to learn and they are ready to learn as much as possible simply because they don’t block themselves from knowledge.

Children are also creative. They are always ready to use their pencils and draw some funny and make some meaningless scribbling things on the paper, on the walls or even on any surface but then that is their God-given creativity at work.

No wonder they are so young!

As adults we tend to forget our own creative pencils. We don’t feel like wanting our creative juice to flow anymore. We are so shy of even trying to try. We are always thinking of our problems which most times happen to be nothing but what other people might think or say about us!

Children are not bedeviled with such problems. They don’t have any point to prove to anyone. They just want to live their lives to the fullest. They just want to be happy all the time!

And that is exactly what I am advising us to start doing right now.

If there is a book you have been putting off to write for such a long time, now is the time to get back to it and let your creative juices to flow once more. If there is something you want to do and you know that doing it will bring right now will bring you so much happiness, then do it! There is no two ways about that.

Become a child. Become creative. Become happy. Become young forever!

If you take my word for it, and you start making the effort to apply some or all of these simple tips that can make your life worthwhile and keep you in your youth, you will surely find out that very soon when people see you next time they won’t be asking you again how old are you and that’s because they won’t be seeing those lines, creases and rumples on your face that represents your stressful thoughts…

You know what they will be asking…?

I guarantee they will be asking you, “How young are you now?”
