Kris Allen is the winer of American Idol, Season 8 is going to celebrate his BIG win!

"To celebrate the newly opened "American Idol Experience" attraction at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Kris Allen shouted the famous words "I'm Going to Disney World!" immediately after being crowned the newest "American Idol" in the show's star-studded season finale on Wednesday night, May 20, in Los Angeles.

Camera crews captured Allen's celebratory pronouncement on the Nokia Theatre stage mere moments after "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest announced the champion's name to millions of viewers watching worldwide.

Not only did the newly crowned Idol shout "I'm Going to Disney World!" at the spot's conclusion, his voice also was featured throughout the ad as he performed the iconic song, "When You Wish Upon A Star."

And with the same immediacy that has made the Disney spot one of the most beloved commercials of all-time, the newest "I'm Going to Disney World!" commercial aired on television within hours of the "American Idol" finale."

Congratulations Kris Allen, our newest American Idol winner!  Have fun at the American Idol Experience!

What is the Disney American Idol Experience About?

Update - American Idol Experience Grand Opening:

After David Archuleta returned from a recent trip, he went straightway to go and check out the the recent Grand Opening of The America Idol Experience attraction, at Disney World.

Read what David Archuleta thought about the Idol Experience Premier...

"After we left Hawaii, we went to Orlando for the premiere of the American Idol Experience at Disney World. It felt like a family reunion with so many past idol contestants. All 7 winners were there, and Melinda, Phil, Lakisha, Sanjaya, Brooke, and a bunch of other people were there too haha. My older sister came down for the event, and my cousins were already in that area because it was my grandma’s birthday that same day. So they got to come too! It was a reunion with the American Idol family, and my real family. the American Idol Experience was so cool too! It was freakishly similar to the real stage, and I think it’s way cool how people can get a chance to see what it’s like to be in our shoes up on stage performing or watching the show live. We got to ride the rides after doing press."

Come to think of it... are all the derogatory comments, that have been made by Simon Cowell on the t.v. show, in relation to some of the American Idol contestants sounding like they belonging singing and performing in a theme park somewhere - just early marketing ploys by the executives at American Idol and Disney?

What is the American Idol Experience at Disney World going to look like? Every aspiring young singer wants the opportunity to sing for Randy, Paula and even Simon Cowell. These talent scouts and judges have the golden ticket - that so many young people would die for! Is this the opportunity that the "American Idol Experience " and attraction will afford for all those when they now head for Orlando, Florida instead of Hollywood, California? Hey, after all, Disney is all about fantasy and making dreams come true!

American Idol Experience - Opening February 14, 2009

Idol Goes to Walt Disney World...

"To celebrate the "The American Idol Experience" attraction, coming January 2009 to Walt Disney World(R) Resort in Florida, David Cook shouted the famous words "I’m Going to Disney World!" Wednesday night, May 21, after being crowned the newest "American Idol" in the show’s star-studded season finale in Los Angeles. Camera crews captured Cook’s pronouncement on the Nokia Theatre stage just moments after his name was announced to the millions watching worldwide.

Later that night, Cook was featured in the newest "I’m Going to Disney World!" commercial that aired only hours after the finale. Starring in a role usually occupied by sports stars – Cook’s is the first singer to ever star in the Disney commercial.

Cook's role in the "I’m Going to Disney World" ad is all in celebration of the new "American Idol" attraction that will open at Disney's Hollywood Studios(TM) at Walt Disney World(R) Resort in Florida in January 2009. Currently under construction, it’s the first attraction anywhere in the world based on the popular television series. When complete, the interactive show will bring the "American Idol" experience to life."

American Idol and The Disney Company coming together at Disney World!

I am intrigued by this concept that the Disney Company and American Idol are putting together with this coming attraction, The American Idol Experience. No doubt the marketing for this new attraction at Disney World will be important for success. Did anyone happen to note what David Cook's big answer to "Now that you've won American Idol, What will you next?"

Well, guess what David Cook's answer was? He shouted enthusiastically and right into the camera, "I'm going to Disney World"! Of course we all believed that "rocker" David Cook really meant that, right?

Well, thats called "Marketing" at its finest!

The "American Idol Experience" At "Disney World" - Where You Can Be The Next Winner of American Idol!

What this very "interactive" attraction hopes to accomplish, is to bring the excitement of the highly successful T.V. show, to the theme park visitor. This will be made possible by following the model of the actual show. Park visitors will have the opportunity to audition and perform live on stage in an actual performance and competition. Word has it, that this will mimic quite well the glitzy stage of the actual American Idol television show.

"The experience will include an audition process, which will be open to everyone eligible to register, where guests perform “live” in front of a Disney producer who will cast visitors for each of the multiple theme park shows each day. If candidates make it through the screening process and backstage preparation (including working with a vocal coach, hair stylist and make-up artist), then they appear before the audience and a panel of judges." The Incredible World of Disney!

WATCH - VOTE - PERFORM... Get The DREAM TICKET!

At the end of the day, these park guest, now serious contestants, will perform and compete in a Grand Finale show at Walt Disney World theme park. What does the winner receive for all this hard work you ask. Well, believe it or not, they will truly receive what is referred to a "DREAM TICKET" -- which will enable them to actually try-out for the American Idol television show, without waiting in those horrific lines to do so.

Grand Prize: Guaranteed Audition with your DREAM TICKET and the top judges on American Idol Season 8! (rules apply)

In a prepared statement, British music manager Simon Fuller, creator of American Idol, and CEO of 19 Entertainment, had this to say, "One of the most remarkable elements about American Idol is that for a brief moment each week, we can provide TV viewers the opportunity to imagine life as America’s next superstar. Disney’s new attraction perfectly captures what we at American Idol feel is the heart and soul of this brand, real people getting a shot to make their dream a reality.”

I think this is great! Who else but the Disney Company could take American Idol and make it even bigger? Apparently, this is exactly what the people want and are willing to pay big bucks to experience! Nobody does it better than DISNEY!

Hi Andy -

This attraction, The American Idol Experience at Disney's Hollywood Studio's in Orlando, Florida - is scheduled to open in January 2009. Construction is already well underway...

Most definitely, this will be a huge attraction and money-maker for both The Disney Company and the American Idol team.

If anyone is familiar with "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and how Disney did this at "California Adventure" - then this is going to be amazing. Millionaire was very well done, with an MC and all. The sets were modeled after the t.v. show and the park guest really had the feel of being at the real thing. Probably better!

So what park guest are in for, is a complete day of American Idol fun... thus the "experience" is what the attraction is all about. The entire Park will be involved by the end of the day, and a serious "Dream Ticket" await a very lucky Winner!

Yeah.... big money!

No doubt! The "American Idol" brand, is a proven success. It is certainly no surprise that the Disney company would take advantage of this winning platform. American Idol fans, should be ecstatic about this new attraction at Disney World. I think the Hollywood Studios, in Orlando - is a brilliant avenue to use for this promotion.

They announced this quite a while back, but really outside of the Disney fans in general, the public has not been aware. It will be interesting to see IF American Idol t.v. show, will have commercials to generate more interest in this new American Idol Experience. As if they really need to do that! LOL

We were there, they are purposely picking people without talent to be laughed at. Out in the park, thin, attractive girls that sing as a hobby were turned away, but fat middle aged women were approached and asked if they wanted to tryout backstage. Typical answer was "I don't know."

It was just karaoke, the words were shown at the back for the "contestants" to read. It is not a real audition as you would think, it is a make-believe karoke. I feel sorry for the teenagers that paid $75.00 to be turned away so that they can have "ordinary" guests get on stage. The payment to get in reminds me of the talent agent scams.

What a joke.

I made it on the show on Friday February 13th. The day before the official opening. What a great experience, from the vocal coaching, to the makeup, to singing in front of a live audience. I sure left feeling like i experienced the true American Idol. Thanks so much. Maybe, this is the start of something new.
