Ayurvedic treatment for mental tension
Mental tension as such is considered as an independent pathology in today’s world of stress and depression; however, many illnesses can be related with mental tension and Ayurveda has great options in terms of medicines, lifestyle, and spiritualism to overcome this disorder. - Panchakarma - Shirodhara, i.e., application of medicated oil/buttermilk on scalp and other forms which must be done by an expert doctor.
- Mix equal quantities of Jatamansi 15g, Brahmi 20g, Shankhpushpi 20g, Bhringraja 10gm and Vacha 5gms, Ashwagandha 10g, Shatwari 10g, Gokshura 10g, Vidarikand herb 10g, Kawanch 10g, and Mulethi 10g. Take 1 teaspoon of this mixture with honey twice a day for 2 to 3 months and follow with a cup of warm cow’s milk.
- Mental tension can also be treated with Avipattikar churna and Bhunimbadi kashaya initially. After that, proper Dhi Dhairya Atma Nivedanam needs to be delivered to the patient.
- Also, mental tension can be treated as vikruti in sadhaka pitta, just give the patient swarna mukta sutshekhar in between meals and swarnaucta brahmi vati before sleep along with mental support..
