Bali Villa Rental
If you’re planning a holiday in Bali and planning to stay in one area for most of the time, you should consider a Bali villa rental. There are many villas available for rent in all the most popular tourist areas – the beach resorts of Kuta, Nusa Dua and Sanur and the rice fields of Ubud, among others.
Renting a villa in Bali can be a great way to make the most of your holiday. If you’re staying for longer for a few weeks or travelling in a large family our group, they can often work out cheaper than staying in a hotel. Most Bali villa rentals come with their own private pool and of course you will feel more at home in your own private villa than in a hotel.
Choosing your villa rental in Bali
Bali luxury villa rentals usually come with their own staff including security, a driver and a cook and facilities such as wireless internet and satellite television. This will all be included in the total daily, weekly or monthly rental price.
When choosing your rental villa in Bali, first consider the area that you want to stay in. If you’d like to be by the beach, choose a villa in one of the coastal resorts like Kuta or Sanur. Remember that these areas can be expensive, especially the more up market areas such as Nusa Dua and Seminyak. If you’d like to rent a Bali villa by the beach for a more competitive price you should consider quieter areas such as Lovina. If you’d rather be surrounded by lush rice fields and village life then Ubud is the top choice. Remember that Bali is a small island and you can reach anywhere in a day so don’t feel like you’ll be tied down to staying in one place.
How to find a Bali villa rental
Prices of villa rentals vary widely depending on size, location, facilities and season. You can usually get a cheaper deal if you’re booking for a longer period of time. Many expats living in Bali use long-term villa rental for accommodation, which can be very reasonable when paying in advance. If money is no object, there are plenty of luxury villa rentals to choose from offering the ultimate in service, relaxation and attention to detail. Some of these villas even come with their own private beach.
When looking for a villa in Bali you’ll probably start your search on the internet. There are many websites offering listings of Bali holiday villa rentals and you can choose to search by area, size or price. Once you’re in Bali it can be a little bit easier to find a good deal. Villa owners often advertise on notice boards of popular tourist restaurants and word of mouth is a great way to find a cheap villa rental in Bali. If you’re planning to stay in Bali for an extended period of time it would be a good idea to take a short trip out first to scope out any possible villas for long-term rent. You can also sometimes find good deals on sites like Craigslist and in local papers like the Bali Advertiser, which also has an online version.
Before committing to any rental be sure to check reviews from previous holiday-makers and if possible visit the villa in person (this is especially important if renting long-term). Double-check on any included ‘free’ extra such as wifi before booking.
Once you’ve found your perfect Bali villa rental there’s nothing left to do except sit back and relax, enjoying a cocktail by the pool!
