Cancer - Disease!
58The sunlight was so bright
I was blinded by its beauty
I tossed and turned all night
Now I know why I am so moody
Looking across the sand
I knew in my body that all was not right
Feeling grain in my hand
Which is why the sunlight is so bright?
Radiation was done, over
No more needles, no more doctors, no more
I ever expressed my sickness to my lover
I had to lick my wounds and close this door
For I was the one, you see
Flowing through my body, holding on tight
Never letting go, locking me in and losing the key
The disease was great and might, never ever to leave my sight
I cursed, I swore and I cried
The light that was so bright
It was from me, not from sunlight
I tried, I tried and I tried
With all my might, it didn’t go away
With my rage, courage and fight
It came and stayed and never went away
I will not live but I will fight

great poem. But after read your poem I feel sad. It is about my memories. My aunt was died by breast cancer. But we have take a look the future. we have to be aware about cancer, helping people around us. A little way is give motivation for them. thanks for share.
