Cell phones - Pros

Being in the 94 Northridge earthquake, a Cell Phone was the first purchase we made after the shaking stopped. Being without power or communication after an event like that made you feel vulnerable. The security of a Mobile phone would have been nice in those situations.

Many people these days use their cell phone for more then just communicating. People can playing games, use the web and do texting. As Wireless Phones have advanced so have the circuit inside of them. The switch from analog to digital reduced the cell phones wattage output from 1.2 to .6 reducing the threat of Brain Cancer.

Because of the cell phone you can get help much quicker in case of an accident, breakdown or just crazy drivers that need to be reported. We can even use cell phones to take pictures in cases of a unexpected event. So where's the harm? With all the different waves, radio waves, microwaves, short wave, long wave, why pick on the cell phone and radiation.

Cell Phone - Cons

Now for the dark-side of cell phones and the wireless world. You still see people holding the phone up to their heads even though there are many headset choices. Besides the obvious distractions and rude usage (theaters etc), do cell phones pose a health threat? Well, it's to soon to tell there are studies on both sides of the issue and frankly they just don't know. As we see in the drug business it takes about 20 years for the FDA to fess up to the harm that is done by some drugs, you suppose the SEC would follow that pattern with Cell Phone Radiation issue?

Cell Phones Linked To Depression

The obvious statement here about cell phones and depression would be if you don't have a cell phone or your parents banned you from using yours. Recent studies show that the radiation emitted by these phones cause headaches, confusion and sleep deprivation. The combination of these problems in kids create mood swings and broken concentration, this leads to depression.

The hub on cell phones and depression expounds on this subject a little further. Don't underestimate the the addictiveness and the indirect health risks that the cell phone posses.

The next clip will give you an idea how cell phones are good for popping popcorn, or are they....

The secret revealed

So were right back where we started. When you just thought there was some evidence that the cell phone was popping your brain cells like kernels, myth busted. It still is better to be safe than sorry, use a headset. There also is a product called Aulterra, this is a small natural substance that attached to the back of your phone that reduces the EMF signals. Read more, go to the hub about Aulterra.

The technology and advancements are changing ever so fast. To check out some of the newer equipment and see what type of plans are available Compare Prices on Cell Phones from all the Major Carriers There are also some good gadgets that can save your health in the long run.

High Blood Pressure and Cell Phones

If you do a search about high blood pressure and the affect cell phones have on it you'll find some interesting studies. If we take these studies at face value then it's not the cell phone that's the culprit, it's the electromagnetic waves it produces.

If you already have high blood pressure then it doesn't take much to raise it a few more points, the possibility that magnetic fields can do this might not be far fetched. We know some of the conversations we have on cell phones can raise our blood pressure, but what are the chances that the signal from your cell phone can too?

High Blood Pressure

This is not something you want to fool with, if there's any chance extended usage of a cell phone will aggravate this condition, look closer at the facts. Now a days they have studies for everything and the validity is always in question.

Having said that, if there's any chance of a connection between high blood pressure and cell phones than you owe it to yourself to look into it. There are new headsets, shields an other accessories that can help.  In today's world anything is possible.

Cell Phone Gadgets

When it comes to cell phone gadgets there seems to be news ones surfacing every week. The cell phone is now part of us, like a third limb. We talk, text, take pictures, make videos and more with these mobile phone devices.

So it's no wonder that cell phone gadgets are hot, and there seems no end to the new gadgets available.

Cell Phone Gadget Ideas

It's funny how cycles turn, one of the new gadgets that has found it's way to the top is the Retro Phone Handset.

(see pic) Going back to 1972, with a good old fashion feel, this western electric replica of the 500 series hand device can be used with a cord adapter or a bluetooth wireless adapter. You'll have to check with the manufacture to see which cell phones it's compatible with, but as a throwback to the 70's it can't be beat.

(no pic) The next cell phone gadget we found was the throat mic. It goes around your neck and picks up your voice directly from your vocal cords. Your voice is the only things someone else hears no matter what other noises are around you. The in-ear headset let you hear the other person discretely as well. Perfect for windy or loud situations (or both like riding a motorcycle). Includes an iPhone answer button on the cord. Costs $119.99.

(see pic) For the person who has everything, get them this pink colored python skin for their cell phone. It's a mere $3900 and it's adorned with 124 Swarovski crystals. If you like the looks or not, you still have to admit it's a unique gadget at a hefty price for that special someone.

(no picture) This is a cell phone designed for people with sight problems or people that just like big numbers. With large buttons for numbers one should have no trouble dialing, having the appearance of a large button calculator, this cell phone is a gadget that has practical uses. Large fingered people will find this much easier to use.

(see pic) Another handy device is this Case Mate. Attached to the back of your iPhone you can bring a ID, credit card or some cash and not have to haul your wallet or purse with you. Handy if your going places where you just need a few items for that occasion.Responsibly priced at $29.00, comes in an assortment of colors.

There you have just a few gadgets for your cell phone some practical, some not. The cell phone will go through changes and the gadgets will follow, lets see what's next.

There is really no argument when you justify a cell phone for emergencies, especially with power outages or situations where you are away from a land line such as on the road or in a park.

We used to live in a world without cell phone and survived..and then now we live in a world with cell phone and wondering how will we survive without one? LOL I guess it brought the world closer huh? As to its safety, I guess too much use (as in anything else in life) can have ill effects.
