Fifa 10 Ultimate Team Getting Bargains

Updated on May 4, 2010

I have written this hub after being urged to do so by two of my ardent followers (Moc and robbie),during reading many of my other hubs they have often asked themselves the question "How does he get that player so cheap",well in this hub i will give away some more of my Ultimate Team secrets,Including the times when you are most likely to pick up a bargain, the best way to bid,how to get the player you want for your squad up to 10,000 cheaper than every other version of him,and one of the best secrets for bidding....although i wont go into too much detail i will leave you to work out some of that on your own.Do not misunderstand, i do not consistently get cheaper players but i would say that 30-40% of the time i pick up players cheaper than the average Ultimate team fan, some of these tactics you may already know but there might be one or two that you didn't and hopefully these will increase your Trading knowledge.

Times

Without a shadow of a doubt, what time you buy your player significantly increases your chances of catching a bargain,The person who put the player up for sale might have felt it perfectly reasonable to put him up at some ungodly hour of the night but lots of people might be asleep therefore increasing your chances of not having too many rival bidders.I personally have found that buying your players early in the morning is the best time overall,I prefer to do a bit of browsing between the hours of 7am and 8am,that time rules out most of the uk market due to it being so early and in the US the time could be either midnight or 2-3 am if its the latter then you have probably ruled out 20-30% of the us guys as well,Try it for yourself and see what results you get.

The best ways to bid

Is there a wrong way and a right way to bid? Probably not, but these are the ways i use daily and they seem to work for me,whether they work for you or not is a different matter.Firstly as i may have pointed out in another hub i tend not to bid until there is only a minute or two left on the clock as i don't want valuable funds tied up in more than one deal. When it gets nearer the 15second mark i tend to bid in pairs!! and what i mean by this is i will bid then immediately bid another 50 coins, this way the other bidders fell like there are 2more bidders instead of just me which can be off putting. When someone keeps bidding directly after i have made a bid i then leave it until 2-3seconds and then bid again as i know from personal experience that this is quite downheartning on the 4th or 5th time of being outbidded just as you thought you had won. These are just a couple of the ways i bid smart in order to get a good deal.

Getting Players For Your Squad

When out looking for a certain player for your squad there is a couple of things you can do to make him as cheap as possible,Firstly my squad is a 4-3-3 and along with 4-4-2 it is one of the most sought after formations, therefore players with that formation do tend to go for a lot more and if your anything like me then you have a couple of your favourite formation cards in your consumables. So look for a 3-4-3 version of him or a 4-1-2-2 and so on.you will find that if your looking to spend 30,000 upwards you may well find him for 3-4,000 less, plus keep an eye out for injured players or players out of contract or with only one contract left as they are invariably cheaper, and who hasn't got contract cards eh? i know I've got 3-4 pages of 90 rated ones!!

The Big Secret!!!!

Now this one is a bit taboo as not an awful lot of people know about it,but it works and works really well,if i said that the best deal i had out of using this was getting Rio Ferdinand for 1100 coins you wouldn't believe me would you......Yes that's right 1100 coins,i then sold him for 9500 which is around the right market value. Now i am not going to tell you exactly how to do it as this will ruin it,as the more people that know then the less effective it becomes, but i will give you some rough guidelines and you can work out the rest,i have heard of people getting kaka and lampard for around the 5000 mark, can you imagine that? i personally don't have the patience for it but hey if it works for you.First things first you are going to need to scroll through players to get to around about 58-59 Min's left on the trade, now personally i made it just premier league players as it cut down on the time involved,it will take you 15minutes to get to that point as it involves scrolling through about 250 pages of players. Now when you are there you are looking for the mistakes that people make when putting their players up for sale, they hit the trade button way too early before they have set the amount properly and hey presto you have Ferdinand for 1100 instead of 11,000 obviously these players never make it down to where you are searching as they are snapped up in minutes,I wont say what search specifics you need to set but im sure you can figure it out.Happy hunting.
