Flowers Photos: Free Download For Valentine's Day and Other Days

Updated on June 14, 2015

I've been trying to think of the best Valentine's Day gift that I can give you my dear friends and visitors. The first thing that came to mind was - flowers. Yes flowers. I love receiving flowers and I think everyone does too. Am I right?

So these flowers are for you on Valentine's day and any other special day of your choice. Enjoy them.

Flower Photos, free to download

For Valentine's Day, I'm giving you flowers which are one of my favorite subjects for my photography.

I am giving you permission to download these photos, print them, make bouquets or cards, use as wall paper, or just use them in any way you please.

My only request is that you just acknowledge your source and link back here especially if you use them for your own hub or website.

Most of these photos were taken from my garden, somebody else's garden, from the road side, or from flowers bought from the florist.

I talked about my flower photography in a previous hub: MAKING-FLOWERS-TALK-A-PHOTOGRAPHY-ADVENTURE

Flowers Up Close

Most of these photos are either macro or close up of flowers. That's how I take their photos.

It always gives me a thrill to get up close to flowers and discover their sometimes hidden beauty. The patterns and colors they show are simply awesome.

Some of these photos have captions while some are waiting for a caption. You can call them any name you wish though.

The captions are either the name of the flowers or the phrase that comes to mind when I first looked at them on my computer screen. The names used are either their common name or their scientific name.

I Do Bring You Flowers

I wish to be contrary to Neil Diamond's song, You Don't Bring Me Flowers. Rather, I am bringing you flowers for Valentine's Day.

You Don't Bring Me Flowers

You don't bring me flowers
You don't sing me love songs
You hardly talk to me anymore
When you come thru the door
At the end of the day

I remember when
You couldn't wait to love me
Used to hate to leave me
Now after lovin' me late at night
When it's good for you
And you're feelin' alright
Well you just roll over
And turn out the light
And you don't bring me flowers anymore ....

I'm Bringing You Flowers

I do bring you flowers, up close!

They are yours to enjoy!

Somebody once told me that my flower photos reminded him of Georgia O'Keeffe's flower paintings. At that time, I did not yet know who Georgia O'Keeffe was, so I did some research and discovered that she wrote this...

"Nobody sees a flower really; it is so small. We haven't time, and to see takes time - like to have a friend takes time".
Georgia O'Keeffe

I must confess that those words resonate well with how I feel about flowers. That's why I take their photos up close or even macro.
