See God
Have you ever had a desire to see God? If your answer is yes, please continue reading. This hub is for you.
This hub I dedicate entirely to show you God. "How can I see God?" You
may ask. Many are asking the same question. When I was very young, I
thought seeing God is watching the Photo/picture of Jesus. In the
market you'll get photos and pictures of Jesus. Different types of
photos/pictures like: Jesus Hanged on the Cross, Jesus with his
parents, Baby Jesus in the Hands of Mary, Jesus carrying the cross to
Golgotha, Jesus with sheep, Jesus on the sea shore, Jesus with his
disciples, Jesus with the blind, Jesus rebuking wind and
waves etc. etc. We had few framed photo's of Jesus at our home. One
was a big portrait of Jesus, looking at heaven and praying. It was
hanged on the walls of our drawing Room. A magnificent picture I still
remember. As a small boy, I thought that picture of Jesus was God and
I had to utter my prayers and wishes to it. But now I am not talking
about to watching a picture of Jesus which is available in the market.
Using the word "Watching God" or "showing God" It doesn't mean that
seeing a picture or photo of framed Jesus. It means to understand
fully who God Is?
"Who is God?" "Why I should see him?" "What is the benefit in seeing
God?" These are the some of the questions which are the most ever
asked Q's in the world over the years. Very good Questions. Many
were asked this question through out the ages. But very few find the
answer. They are the luckiest people ever lived in this world.
However there is a large group, who never find the answer of these
questions. I think they are the most wrecked people ever lived in this
world.
To understand God, I would like to bring your attention to a
conversation between Jesus and one of his disciple Philip reported in
the Gospel of John
John 14: 8 - 13 Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us."
Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been
among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.
How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Don't you believe that I am in
the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are
not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing
his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father
is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles
themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do
what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these,
because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my
name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.
Many of you may understand and are familiar with this passage. Those
who are not aware of it, I would like to explain little bit of what
this Philip and Lord Jesus are talking about. The center of this
conversation is "Father" Philip wanted to see the Father. Now the
question is who is this Father. And who's father they want to see?
To understand who is this Father, let us look at the passage above.
There Jesus was talking to one of his other disciple named Thomas. Let
us read
John 14: 5 - 7
Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes
to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know
my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."
Hear Jesus talking to Thomas about the way to reach the Father. To
clearly understand who is this father we should read from the Verse 1
of this chapter 14.
John 14:1-4 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust
also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I
would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And
if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to
be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the
place where I am going."
Hope you understand from the above words of Jesus who is this Father.
The words "Trust in God" and the "In my Father's house" we could
understand one thing. The Father here Jesus talking about is God. The
creator of the heaven and earth, who created everything in this world.
Now you know who is this Father. And Philip wanted to see this Father.
Which means he wanted to see God himself.
We all wanted to see God. We all have the desire to see God. If given
a chance, we would never miss that opportunity. It is a normal desire
of a human being. We would not find any wrong in having such a
desire.
If someone told you in such and such place such and such time you could
see the God, you will make every efforts to go there and see the
God. Many people in this present world, go to many holy places, to
find God
and worship God. They think, if they reach that particular place, they
could find God and worship God. That is why people go for pilgrimage.
Every year millions of people are making pilgrimage to different
places. Different group has different places. Some climb the hills,
Some go to rivers, Some go to a particular building. It does according
to their culture and belief.
Any way, it's great to have a desire to see the God. Let me ask a personal
question here? Have you ever had a desire to see God? If your answer
is yes, please continue reading. This hub is for you.
Now let us look again look at the conversation of Jesus with Philip.
Philip wanted to see the Father. That means he wanted see the God
Himself. To reply to Philip's question, Jesus asking another question.
Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been
among you such a long time?
Hope it is clear for you. Philip wanted to see God. Jesus asking Philip "Don't you know me? It means Jesus is God.
You may be feeling strange to hear such answer. Then again Jesus says: "Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.
How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Don't you believe that I am in
the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are
not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing
his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father
is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles
themselves."
What are the miracles Jesus did. They are: Turning water in to wine,
Healing the sick. Giving eyes to the blind, Walking on the water.
Multiplying 5 bread and 2 fish enough to eat more than 5000. Giving
life to the dead. Seeing the coin in the mouth of the fish when the
fish was in the sea. Rebuking the wind and waves.
the list goes on..... At last he himself resurrected from the dead.
Death could not continue his hold on him..... He died on the cross as a
sacrifice to redeem me and you. He paid through his blood the penalty
of sin of you and me. If you believe that he will take you to God. He
is God.
Hope now you understand Who is God. If you want to see God, look at Jesus.
Again Jesus says: "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do
what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these,
because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my
name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father"
Jesus said to Thomas: , "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes
to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know
my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."
Here also Jesus raveling one of the greatest truth: He is the only way to reach God.
Now I pray, May God bless you to find Him.
If you have not find the God till now this is the right time to find
him and accept him as your Saviour. If you want to receive him as your
Saviour, Please pry this prayer: Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I
know you died for my sin. I believe you as my God and Saviour. Please
forgive all my sins and make me your son/daughter. In Jesus name I
pray, Amen.
May God Bless you.

Ralwus what a nice comment & jacobkuttyta what a catchy & great article! I often as an artist try to capture God so others can see him & I always come up baffled- but I would very likekey pass out even if one of His magnifcant angels showed up in front of me.
I am jealous of the people that have heard the angels sing or actually have seen what we consider the visulation of an angel.
I might have fear if it was revealed to me, or maybe I could handle it now.
But I definetly have sensed the angels and the all knowing Lord God (when I was drowing & when I was alone & tradgically hurt)..and that is a phenominal miracle!
Thank You again--your article really makes one think--EXCELLENT!
Lisa
Walking with Jesus in "the way and the truth and the life" enters us in a relationship that reaches out to the Father. A truth-inspired hub that moves us to walk in God's direction.
That was great,I believe the Father himself was with you at this moment while you was writing this article,May God Bless you always for such understanding.
I have a never ending desire to see God. He's my heavenly Father. Good hub!
I have to agree with RALWUS he is every where. You can see him and feel him every simple second
oh yes...wonderful hub
Thanks for a great hub. Very simple and clear so anyone could get a glimpse of God. One has to desire to see Him for themselves. The awareness of His presence is one thing, but seeing Him by faith is something else!
Ahhh Lisa, I have heard the angels sing. It is a choir like no other. I am no composer so it could not have been my mind. Music like I have never heard. I have seen angels too, they never get dirty while changing tires for you and never are in a hurry. you realize it after they have disappeared before your very eyes.
Thanks you all for your comments. Hope and pray that many will find this hub helpful to see and find God in their life.
For the glory of the God...
Thanks for your comments.
God displays Himself to the simple who are looking for Him.
Take this, can one see God in the Sun?
It's starts off life in the morning like an infant, young and full of zest, but not much heat. By midmorning it's finished school, noon it's at it's height of glory, afternoon during the career of life, and then evening it's starting retirement and cooling down.
Then Death strikes, and it sets.
Is that the end of the Sun? NO
There is a resurrection that occurs. So is it with Spring - summer - fall - winter (death) - spring.
God has placed the resurrection before us all.
Thanks all for your visits and comments

Ah, yes. I have seen him in the wind, in the sea and in the goo-goos of an infant. In the love of his own.
