Let's get a little Haiku crazy on Hubpages!
A friend of mine had a Haiku contest on his myspace page--leading me to this idea: let's have a hubpages Haiku contest!
Here's the Deal:
I'll outline the basics of what a Haiku is...but, there are really no rules. Have fun with it! Try to stick to the Haiku format, but play with it. Poetry is language is ever-changing!
I'll update the Hub to feature the best Haiku, but it would be cool to end up with a bunch to read! Feel free to vote on which ones you think are the best, coolest, weirdest, or wackiest.
How to Haiku:
you must write three lines
five, seven, five syllables
let last line linger
OR
hubbers know that the
hubbers know that hubs will grow
huh buh duh hub duh
Check out this article if you want to learn more about the Haiku.
Write a Haiku (singular) to add to the compilation of Haiku (plural). Have fun.

I haven't written a Haiku, but I will give it a try, great idea to have in the hubpages. Cheers :)
I am looking forward to seeing your Haiku!
This could be fun.
Gray and lazy days:
Sweatshirts, wool socks and blankets
warm away the cold.
life's apologies
The meeting of two rivers
berries among thorns
my back to the dawn
I gaze towards yesterday
whose crystals were balls
SNOWQUEEN
Barefoot in the snow
Ice crystals on eyelashes
What was she thinking?
well you went to bed
as here we slave alone
poetic capitalism !
snow:
crystal none alike
white deep need my shovel
drifting floating cold
I love, so hate war
Beating about the Bushfire
A prayer for peace
my brain flows with rhyme
content, daydreaming I sing
praising this fine hub
Hubbing a Haiku
What an interesting thought
Stacie this is great.
a delight to find
a bush haiku by kenny
politics are hot
