How To Overcome The Fear Of Failure

Updated on August 12, 2013

What Are We Afraid Of ?

The word failure is in so many people's vocabulary and in their minds that they are afraid of doing things for the fear of failure.

How to overcome the fear of failure is to keep doing whatever it is you are trying to do or accomplish in your life until you achieve it. There is no such thing as failure if you keep trying until you get it. Failure should not be in any one's vocabulary, success, is the word to be in yours and my vocabulary.

All of us have to have the word positivity in our lives and go after those dreams and goals not worrying about failure, because if we always worry about failing at what we want to do then we will get nowhere in life at all.  Sometimes we must first fail at something in order to learn by our mistakes and then work on those mistakes that you failed in and improve on them to make that failure and mistake a success and something positive.

Why are we afraid to take chances in life? Without taking chances you will never know if you would of failed or succeeded in your venture. To take chances in life can be a positive outcome and then again it could be a negative outcome, but we will never know what the outcome would have been without taking that chance.

What Can We Do To Be Fearless ?

What can we do be fearless in our life's ventures and endeavors? I realize that fear of failure is in the backs of many of our minds, and by having that fear of failure in our minds you and I just may be afraid to take that leap and go after what you have had on your mind to do.

The fear of failure will indeed hold you back from accomplishing any of your dreams and goals in your life, because you will be just afraid to even try.

The only thing I can think of and that helped me with overcoming many thing in my life, one being alcohol addiction was keeping a positive attitude. Having that positive attitude in life will help you overcome many things and help with overcoming the fear of failure..

If I were afraid of failure when I decided to surrender to my alcohol addiction I would be still drinking beer everyday of my life. I had to think positive and tell myself that I could beat this alcohol addiction and succeed not fail. By telling myself that I will not fail, it worked, I beat my addiction and have be clean and sober going on two years.

You must never cut yourself short and tell yourself that you will succeed and not fail at anything that you set out to do in life. Get the word negative out of your mind and start thinking and acting positive.

Possibilities are the product of faith. We can expect nothing more than that which we believe possible.
