I like the burd photo the best of them all. I have been to this vew a few times and enjoyed it compeltely. It was peaceful and relaxing.
Oh, and btw, MCO is no longer called MCO. MCO merged with The University of Toledo in July of 2006. The official name of MCO is now: The University of Toledo Health Science Campus.
Dear Patty:
There is something so nice about Ohio. I think there's a culture about being pleasant. I've never lived there but have traveled to Columbus, Ohio, to visit a client for my company, and I always feel such a warm welcome, even in the briskest weather! I'm excited every time I get to travel through Cincinnatti airport. There is so much to do and see there! I look forward to visiting all the cities you profile!!!
Best Regards,
Cory
Hi Guru-C: I like Toledo and Cincinnati best, then Dayton. Just my own opinion. I also think it is very enjoyable to go up to Michigan. To me, it's brighter up there. lol
There is a trend toward living between major cities in Western and Central Ohio in order for dual-career couples to work in the "next town over". This includes between Dayton and Toledo, Dayton and Lima area, Dayton and Cincinnati (the Aerospace Corridor), Dayton and Columbus, Cincinnati and Columbus, etc. I don't know about eastern and southern Ohio. So far, IO find fewest job openings in the southeast quadrant of the state. That may or may not change.
Thank you Saroj, but when I travel from Bowling Green to downtown Toledo 6 times per year, it always takes me 45 minutes instead of 25. Individual drive times may vary of course.
I did indeed find job listings for GM Corp./Powertrain Divison Corp and Chysler. Interested individuals must call these forms or access their websites to find out the most recent information on a daily basis, just as in all cities. So what, if MCO and Toledo Hospital merged? They did not tell me that on the telephone. Ohio State University Medical Center and James Cancer Clinic are also merged, yet separate entities.
Thanks for the layoff information, I hope it shows up in the news link capsule and job seekers always check out their target cities completely before moving there! I love Toledo myself.
Cheers.
