The UK has great opportunities for professionals from the medical industry. It has a high demand of medical workers and has started admitting medical professionals from other countries. Some foreigners even study medical courses from there and work there at the same time after graduation. This opportunity has caught the attention of many Filipinos and it has given them hope to earn a high paying job and strive harder amd hasten their skills in medicine and caregiving. Some schools and agencies in the UK has partnered with Philippine agencies in order to help spread the word and help those professionals who would want to study, enahce their skills and land a job in the medical profession in the country.

One of these agencies is Kirsten Student Development, Inc. (KSDI). KSDI is a student agency helping individuals who are interested to study in the UK. Kirsten cleared it though that they are not a recruitment agency. The agency only assists all those individuals who are interested to study in the United Kingdom. They assist candidates in the acquisition of their student visa to the United Kingdom. The study schedule of the students gives them enough time to work part time and earn enough to support their education.

In the said program, the students study in the UK for 2 years through the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) program. While studying, a student can work and earn at the same time. A student can earn up to 900 pounds a month, which can help him pay for his tuition, living and personal expenses. The applicant has to be graduates of nursing, caregiving, practical nursing, nursing aide and other medical courses. Those who have caregiving work experience are also qualified to apply.

The NVQ Program is the fastest way to process one's visa to the UK. Once the required documents are completed and the corresponding fees are paid, an applicant can be flying to the UK in as fast as 3 months. An applicant who completed the 2 year course becomes a qualified senior carer, supervisor or manager in a care institute.

Kirsten requires that the applicant currently lives and is a bonafide resident of the Philippines. The program has no age limit and all those ineterested with relevant medical degree or training can apply.

I decided to withdraw my application because I have waited for so long for the said date or expeccted date that I would be studying at UK, Kirsten's staff told me that it would only take 3 months maximum to wait for the decisions made by UK Care homes, but 3 months had passed, still no calls from the staff, so I phone called them and started to monitor any progress every week, stil no progress, then I decided to withdraw, for that reason I am still now waiting for my refund of the 70% of the total that I had paid from the Agency...
