Logic, Common sense, and the American Way
What a waste!
Why are we wasting so much money on useless stuff? Oh yeah, I forgot, Obama has to pay back the 3/4's of a billion dollars he received from contributors to get elected.
Only we as taxpayers are the ones paying it back. In one city they want to put a walkway across an interstate using stimulus money. $168,000 for design and $1.8 million for construction. How many people would that feed and clothe that really need help? How many homes could be saved from foreclosure, for people that are at or near the poverty level? How many homes could be rebuilt that were flooded last year or destroyed in tornadoes or hurricanes?
Why have we lost perspective and just spend money on crap we really don't need and not help those that truly need it? Why are we willing to spend millions on the National Center for Arts while we have people that have lost their homes from natural disaster or fraudulent lending practices?
How much of the $800 billion plus is just plain a waste of money and really payola? The Republicans did a tremendous job of doling out pork the past few years, but this "stimulus" package is making them look like pikers! I'm pretty sure the voter didn't think that they voted in the Democrats just to spend more money!
