Find The Beads That Strike A Creative Nerve To Make Art Beads
Suggested Craft and Jewelry Supplies and Tools Needed For This Project
Start with wooden beads that can be painted with acrylic paints. Wooden beads come in many sizes, shapes, and colors so browse that favorite jewelry supply place and find the ones that will serve the general purpose intended. This project is open to interpretations by the artist. The general direction should help to produce very unique art beads to finish in to a jewelry bracelet.
Let that imagination roam as you browse Online or shop the local craft store for the beads that strike a nerve. Make sure to look in the crystal bead section as well. The crystal beads will add color and mystery to the finished bracelet. Crystal beads catch light and that nice affect will pay off when you are ready to put the beads together.
Decorating The Wooden Beads
Use a wood burning pen to add a little depth to the beads with the pyrographic application. This is not a must but it looks pretty cool. It also gives the beads some texture. Acrylic paint and some fine, detail paint brushes are used to decorate the art beads with color. The beads do not have to be decorated with the pyrographic application. Paint will do for those who are not pyrographic maniacs. Whatever is decided try making a few sketches before getting started. It helps to have extra beads to do a little experimenting. Have fun as the work progresses. Keep in mind the subject is extreme Halloween.
Mind Set That Creative Designer To Extreme Halloween
Art Beads That Steal The Spotlight
The bracelets made from these handcrafted beads are sure to be the novelty many will admire. This in mind let your imagination run as you work. It might be that there is a special costume the art beads will be made to enhance. Use paint colors that will enhance what will be worn. Make sure to think extreme Halloween and don't be afraid to go all out with the colors. color is what catches attention. It helps to stick to a color scheme but it also helps to blast those art beads right out in to the open with colors that are shockingly creepy. It is a Halloween adventure so think spooky and spoiled in a rotten Halloween sort of way.
Student Helping Out Adds Youthful Ideas
The beads pictured here were crafted by Jill Gautreaux, a high school student who works at Adrift Art Studio. They are 16mm oval beads with a natural finish. These were chosen to best demonstrate ideas and suggestions for this hub. Jill turned out an assortment of designs to help offer ideas for this extreme Halloween bracelet jewelry. From Art Beads To Jewelry Bracelet
The bracelets pictured here are samples of what can be done with the art beads after they are decorated. The four bracelets are all made with the bauble bead designed from the exact same, unfinished 16mm wooden bead. The added decorating on each art bead makes a one of a kind product that follows the extreme Halloween theme.
The witch is all decked out with green hemp for the base cord. Her painted colors were matched with black glass seed beads across the knotted cords. The finished bauble was enhanced with emerald green, crystal beads to add that creepy mystery often felt about witches. She is a shining example of how various applications can be done on the same kind of natural wooden bead.
The second picture of a ghoul with empty, orange eyes was attached to a metal bar and then added to a simple silver toned chain. It features a barrel clasp and is simple yet striking in that simplicity. A couple of smaller beads, one white wooden bead and one smaller glass bead were added top and bottom lending a little style to the assemblage.
This extreme Halloween pumpkin face was also strung on hemp to create a bracelet jewelry that rocks with Halloween color. Red hemp cord, black glass seed beads and larger, yellow wooden beads make this one of a kind bracelet a sure to fire the fun with those glowing eyes. A few missing teeth add creep to this extreme Halloween bracelet design.
The bangle styled bracelet at the bottom will suck you in with those red crystal beads offering up a sparkling surprise as you take a closer look and creep at the tiny shrunken heads strung along side. This basic crystal beauty is a curious work. Made from memory wire and blood red crystal beads that are enhanced with tiny copper colored seed beads this one is finished with a skull head bauble and a gold toned, lobster claw clasp. looks sweet until you take a closer look, yikes!

My hand! Interesting that you brought up my palm. Thanks so much for visiting and commenting. Jill helps me out and is quite talented for a 16 year old. She is a joy to work with and a very fast learner plus she will give almost anything a try without complaint. I just love her to pieces. She inspires me.
This is very creative for Halloween. Great job!
Wow, really nice, colorful presentation. The beads are great...so interesting how they're made. I like the witch the best!
Wow, this really special! Great!
What a super idea...C.S. I will have to get together with my granddaughters and we could make a whole slew of bracelets and hand them out to 'trick or treaters' instead of candy.
Once again a great hub

What a great idea - would work for Christmas bracelets too.
Wow. These are great. I have a bag of wooden beads and now I know what to do with them. Now I need steady hands.

Nolimits, I have another idea up my sleeve for Christmas! Stay tuned.
Raven King, you get busy on those beads and steady with the tiny work. It can be hard on the fingertips! The large beads fit nice on the end of a pair of round nose pliers that can be held in a vise.......
Thanks to all of you for visiting my newest hub and leaving all the upbeat comments. Your thoughts are always considered with highest regard......C.S.
