My Letter to God
83If I was able to write a letter to God, I would tell him so many things. First, I would tell him thank you for all that he has done, created the world, my life and so many other things. I am so grateful for all that you have taught me, given me and blessed me so very much. Second, if I could be so bold to ask him to do a few more things to help the world he has created. Here is my wish list;
- Rid the world of cancer, to help all the people that have suffered from this awful disease. To give them their lives back to enjoy and do all the things they wanted to do but never had the chance. For all the babies, children, mothers, fathers, grandparents, friends and loved ones are free of cancer for now and forever.
- Please find a cure for HIV/Aids. God, seeing these people suffer is hard and extremely sad. How could a horrible disease like this ever be developed? I don’t understand how and really don’t want too. But I do know it’s bad and terribly hard to live with, help God find us a cure.
- Let there be world peace, to have others love each other and free the world of hate. To bring our soldiers home to live their lives and enjoy their families. World peace and all countries prosper and become beautiful and live freely and openly.
- I would like all the child pedophiles to be locked up on a secluded island to live together. They would be on this island far away from the world where they have to live their life. If children are born on the island, they are immediately taken off and adopted to other loving families. These people will live in a world of no children and only adults.
- All sex offenders should be hung for their actions. If proven guilty, they will be hung, if proved innocent, freed. However, if they are freed and commit the crime again, immediate justice by being hung.
- I would like God for all to have internal health to live life to the fullest. It would be nice if people had security and confidence but grateful for all that they have received. To provide a place where laughter is constant and tears are limited. A place that birds sing and children play and adults work to make our community a better place each and every day.
- If I could be so bold, take away crime, criminals we do not need. Therefore, we would have no prisons and wouldn’t have to pay for the criminals to stay in them. Trust would be instilled within all of mankind and create a world of trust, friendship, community and most of all, love for one another.
- On a personal note, I would like for you to tell my grandparents that I love them and I was a stupid young career women when they died and I didn’t know how much they affected my life until after their deaths. All four of them, were so good to me that I wish I would have told them over and over again how much I love them. I would like for you to tell my stepfather, Bob, through the hard times of his illness he was truly a good man and a great stepfather to me. However, I was young and dumb and didn’t realize it until it was too late. Lastly, I would like to tell Papa Stump and Mimi thank you for being second grandparents to my son, they were wonderful to him and I never told them before they died.
- My third and final request God, is to free the people of their guilt and worry, we all carry guilt one way or another. I believe we have to make mistakes to learn from them and better ourselves. But I know as a mother, I feel guilty for so many things, not spending enough time with my son or husband. Not being able to do everything that I want to do, such as getting out birthday cards to calling my mother and spend an hour over the phone just talking about silly stuff. For all the fathers that worry about making enough money for their families. Please help these people that are feeling those emotions, worry, guilt, fear or sadness. Help them sweet Lord every day I pray for these people.
My Dearest God, I know I am asking a lot but whatever you can do I would be so grateful. All my love and devotion, Teri
This would be the letter I would write. I love my life and my world; I only want to make it a better place for our children. I pray but I know I am unable to do this alone, maybe with my letter to God he will be able to help me spread the word, the prayers, the hopes and dreams of our world.
Here is my letter to God, what would yours say?

mine ...much the same, if I could believe in him, which I don't. One reason for this, all that's said in this hub. Im not a fan of religious arguments. But if I believe in something, that's freedom. I'm happy to be your fan, I like the way you write. Cheers!
Tantrum, thank you for commenting, your views and being opened minded is wonderful. See you in the forums my friend.
Great writing.Thanks 4 responding 2 my hub.Enjoy the journey.>peace 2 U.
Truly beautiful-thanks, so glad we met (kinda), look forward to more, Kimberly
Sounds like Utopia. I'm impressed by your desire for swift justice. I agree.
Benjimester, I do want swift justice as long as they are guilty of the crime. Thanks for commeting!
My letter would be much the same. I would add that we sterilize/castrate the pedophiles on the island - then we wouldn't have to worry about innocent children being born! Good hub!
Hi Ladybird,
Points 1,2,and 3 all hinge on getting the majority of people alive today to pray and ask God. Unfortunately the majority honour Satan with their words, therefore empowering him to kill people by cancer, HIV related illnesses and stopping world peace.
In Matthew 24 Christ tells us to expect wars and rumours of wars, so I guess that's a fact whether we like it or not.
The paedophiles and sex offenders bits are actually contrary to what the bible states.
Murder warrants the death penalty, not what you suggest. The concept of dealing with these offenders may garner public support, but not from Christ or God, who in any case reserve judgement for themselves.
The bible is littered with criminals, in one respect David, before he became king, stole the shrew bread from the priest, by lying to get that and Goliath's sword. So in that respect crime is 'in the family' - David certainly stole Uriah's wife Bathsheba!
Actually God is quite capable of moving His assets from one person to another this way.
Anybody that steals, is robbing God, a He alone OWNS EVERYTHING doesn't he?
Scripture does not allow for prison at all, in the bible the choices God gives us are:
1)The offender pays a penalty to the victim.
2)The offender is sold into slavery until the victim has been recompensed.
3)The offender is put to death.
Your fore bearers are in soul sleep if they are dead, and won't know anything until they are resurrected by Christ, so don't worry, they will not be fretting bout your treatment of them whilst they were alive. When you check out, and on the resurrection, you will be able to tell them yourself! and what a joyful reunion that will be.
Guilt does not come from God, its Satan that lays guilt on people, God uses CONVICTION to bring our sins to our attention so that we can be set free from them. Satan is the accuser, laying guilt trips at our door in order to keep us from repenting of our sin and being forgiven buy God.
Look, I'm really sorry to pull your hub apart, but the prayer you were making was unanswerable by God, and I hate people wondering why their prayer remains unanswered.
aquasilver, each person has their own belief and want to pray and pray in a way that works best for them. If you wish to pick apart my hub to make it more to "your belief" that is fine with me. However, my prayers are answered by God because I see small miracles everyday, if you feel better by this email and writing this, that is a good thing, in my opinion. I will not judge you for trying to influence your belief through this hub. Education is different for us all and I know you only wish to educate us. Many blessings for you.
Hi Ladybird,
Believe me the last thing I would want to do is impress 'my beliefs' on anybody, all I tried to do here is point out what the bible states about certain things, they are not MY beliefs, they would appear to be Gods.
One of the first helps I learned from reading the bible was to be a Berean, and check ALL things against scripture, because even Holy Spirit filled teachers can be capable of teaching their, or their denominations version of scripture.
Baptists for instance (and I was planted into a PenteBaptist AoG church when I came to faith) ...anyhow Baptists are completely anti alcohol, yet the bible tells us that a man in distress should be given strong drink, and at the wedding feast Jesus created five vats of fine wine!
All that I wrote are positions that you will find in the scripture of the bible, if you have any scripture that refutes them, feel free to correct my error.
My concern is only for your own good, there was no intention of offending you. I will trouble you no more.
aquasilver, I understand and I seek learning everyday of my life. I have never said to understand fulling the bible so any and all advice is welcomed here, I appreciate you expressing what you feel via the scripture. You did not offend me and you can trouble me anytime, we are a writing community, we learn from one another. Word of mouth sometimes is the beginning of learning (or at least in my opinion). Your comments are welcome, thank you for sending them. My best.
mine would say essentially the same thing, with strong emotion on the sex offenders. Thanks for sharing.
Mistywild, thank you for commeting, much appreciated!
That's a very powerful list, and one shared by many others it seems. This life can be a cruel one, lets hope all of your requests are answered in the next, or better still that they don't exist therefore don't need answering
Which4u, excellent point and what a way to make peopel think. Thank you for commeting!

Dear Father God, First and foremost, I must ask your forgiveness for the little faith I have shown in You. As I look back, You have been so very good to me. I have screamed and yelled at you and even early...

- Letter to the Editor: God's laws trump those of menChambersburg Public Opinion2 hours ago
Is it ever right for law-abiding citizens and as in my case, a Christian, to draw a line in the sand and say "here I stand, I can do no other?" We know that committing crimes goes against the law of God and man. But what do we do if man's laws do not match up with God's laws?
